Online Events with Friends

It does not appear you can do events with friends or the posse I created. Whenever someone in my posses starts an event it drops me out of posse while he does the event. Is this truly the way it is?

It shouldn't be kicking you, no. Have you checked your connection? Sometimes a weaker internet connection will cause you to "time out" when joining something like this. 

Have you contacted Rockstar about the issue?

I haven't had this issue. I honestly can't think of what can cause it either other than what screw said. If you haven't mentioned it to Rockstar, report it. Maybe there is an easy fix for this. I'll let you know if I find anything on the issue and report back if I do.
