Story gold metals question

Hey first time poster here, 

I'm trying to gold metal the missions in the game , my question is regarding repeating, do you have to achieve all the requirements in the same mission or can you just fulfil the missing requirements (checklist) When repeating missions?

Most of my missions have sliver metals, so if I can just Focus on the on checkboxes that I have missed would save so much time!
