Sage Hardy Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Wow, just found this website resource tonight! So after a very painful first week back, ["crashing" to desktop repeatedly] I found how to make a solo sesh for friends - - game works so smoothly and there's no interference now- only, ... there's no interference now. The PvE game is so good, but, not having other random players in the lobby is just... sad. We've played for two weeks now in the solo session now and my god I miss the action. I do not miss FFFFFFFFFFF, or the insanely overpowered hackers - is the only way to play it safely now, publicly, .... is to become what I hate most? Thoughts?
NA0S Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Isn't making a solo/private lobby also considered modding? Doesn't Rockstar ban for this? I've heard of people getting banned for this. Honestly, the fact that rockstar don't have a private session lobby for RDO like they do in GTA V completely baffles my mind. I come across hackers who ruin it for me in EVERY single online lobby I am in. And I mean every single lobby. It's completely ruined the online experience. Such a shame because it's such a great game.
Kean_1 Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 GTAV only (relatively) recently provided the choice of a truly solo or friends-only experience that opened up most of the game to players in those modes. Before, it was limited. They also started including more in the updates for those types of players. Before that (on PS4/5 at least) you had to use the MTU trick to coerce the game into putting you into a lobby by yourself and still have access to a lot of the game. That was more of an exploit though. Not sure how they do it on PC but if it via modding files, then I think you're right. The thing is, R* was well aware folks were doing this but I don't recall them really making a big deal out of it. It's likely what made them finally cave. Having said that, I haven't really paid attention to what has been happening on the PC side.
