Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode features a variety of challenges that reward players with items as well as with enhancements for Arthur's main stats - Health, Stamina and Dead Eye - upon completion.
The story mode challenges are divided into nine different categories, depending on the type of challenges included. These categories are Bandit, Explorer, Gambler, Herbalist, Horseman, Master Hunter, Sharpshooter, Survivalist, and Weapons Expert.
In this guide, we will review the Explorer challenges and tell you how to complete all ten of them.

Explorer Challenges Overview
The Explorer challenges are among the most straightforward in the entirety of the game, as all of them, with the exception of the very first, require players to simply find treasure.
Opening random chests found in houses, farms or camps does't count, so you will need to complete the three main treasure hunts of story mode. You can also complete any of the smaller hunts, like the Sketched Map hunt, as they will still count towards completion.
Find a Treasure Map
The first Explorer challenge is the only one where you don't have to find a treasure, but just a treasure map. The easiest one to find is the first map of the Jack Hall Gang hunt. Head over to the ridge on the river to the northwest of Flatneck Station to meet Maximo, a treasure hunter who wants to sell Arthur a map. You can either accept his proposal or kill the man to get the map for free.
This challenge can also be easily completed later in the game once you unlock fences, as you can purchase the same map by any of them for a slightly higher price.
The reward for completing this challenge is the Explorer Holster, which grants a Dead Eye bonus once all items in the Explorer set have been obtained.
Find 9 Treasures
The remaining 9 challenges of the Explorer category simply require players to find treasure to be complete. As you will find also treasures alongside maps while attempting to complete the Poisonous Trail, Jack Hall Gang and High Stakes hunts, completing the three of them will be enough to clear all of the Explorer challenges.
For completing the challenges you will be rewarded with $5 and additional Stamina EXP for the second challenge, the Explorer Bandolier for the third, $10 and additional Stamina EXP for the fourth, $10 and additional Stamina EXP for the fifth, $15 and additional Stamina EXP for the sixth, the Explorer Gun Belt for the seventh, $15 and Stamina EXP for the eight, $20 and Stamina EXP for the ninth, and the Explorer Off-Hand Holster for the tenth and final challenge.
