Earning gold can be a tough and grueling task in Red Dead Online, but a necessary one if you want the best items that the game has to offer. If you take advantage of this week's special promotion awarding extra gold for completing daily challenges, things will be that much easier. There are also discounts and new clothing items on offer.
Easy gold is on offer this week thanks to daily challenges. Gold rewards for completing the challenges have been doubled through September 2, making the maximum amount of gold earned from challenges per day a total of four. Keep in mind that keeping up streaks of daily challenge completions will award you with even more goods!
Completing daily challenges has other special perks this week as well. If you finish a total of 10 challenges over the course of the week - which really shouldn't be hard - you'll get a special care package containing 30x Explosive Repeater Ammo and 10x Poison Throwing Knives.
Ranking up in Red Dead Online is key to progression. You unlock new abilities, upgrades and items as your character gains levels. This process can be sped up if you grind the Showdown Series this week once you're done with your daily challenges, since these structured PvP matches award 40%+ XP.
A number of items that were previously in the rotation of limited issue catalog clothing are making a grand return, giving newer players a chance to own these stylish pieces. Pick up the Gator Hat, the Woodland Gloves, the Ortega Vest, the Tiled Pants, the Calhoun Boots and last but not least the Vaquero Baroque Spurs before they're gone!
If you want to outfit your character in a stylish and coherent getup, outfits are the way to go as they dress you head to toe. Outfits are a tad expensive though and have high rank requirements - but not this week. All outfits have been discounted by 25% and the rank requirement has been reduced to 10 across the board!
Stock up on consumables while they're cheap - all Tonics and Provisions are 35% off. If you want to make your character more expressive, you can grab Action and Greet emotes at 30% off, while Ability Card Upgrades are 25% off in case you want to expand your skillset.
