In Red Dead Redemption 2, there are eight different challenge tracks: Survivalist, Bandit, Sharpshooter, Horseman, Weapons Expert, Herbalist, Gambler, and Master Hunter. Each track has 10 challenges that test different skills; completing each track results in in-game rewards such as unique outfits or equipment.
For all tracks, the challenges have to be completed sequentially, i.e. you have to have completed Survivalist 1 to start progress on Survivalist 2.

Survivalist Challenges
The survivalist challenges are designed to test Arthur Morgan’s ability to survive in the wilderness through hunting, fishing, and crafting.

| Survivalist 8 | Craft a homing tomahawk, improved tomahawk, volatile dynamite, and volatile fire bottle |
| Survivalist 9 | Catch a fish that weighs at least 19lbs |
| Survivalist 10 | Catch one of each type of fish |
Bandit Challenges
The bandit challenges are designed to test Morgan’s criminal pursuits.

| Bandit 6 | Steal 5 horses and sell them to the Horse Fence at Clemens Cove |
| Bandit 7 | Rob $50 worth of cash and valuables from townsfolk and travellers |
| Bandit 8 | Steal 7 wagons and sell them to the Fence at Emerald Ranch |
| Bandit 9 | Hogtie someone and leave them on the railroad 3 times |
| Bandit 10 | Complete 5 train robberies without dying or being caught |
Sharpshooter Challenges
The sharpshooter challenges are a test of Morgan’s skill with various firearms.

| Sharpshooter 9 | Shoot 3 people’s hats off in the same Dead Eye use |

Horseman Challenges
Riding is a large part of Red Dead Redemption 2; the horseman challenges are designed to test Morgan’s abilities on horseback and his relationship with his mount.

Weapons Expert Challenges
The weapons expert challenges are designed to encourage you to explore the vast variety of weapons available to Morgan in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

| Weapons Expert 8 | Kill 15 enemies using a long barrelled shotgun |

Herbalist Challenges
Taking a break from combat, the herbalist challenges task Morgan with locating and collecting various types of flora from across the map.

Gambler Challenges
The gambler challenges focus on the various mini-games available to Morgan throughout the course of the game.

| Gambler 8 | Win 3 hands of Blackjack with 3 hits or more |
| Gambler 9 | Win 3 games of Dominoes in a row |

Master Hunter Challenges
Similar to some of the survivalist challenges, the master hunter challenges task Morgan with locating, tracking, killing, and trading various forms of wildlife.

Explorer Challenges
In order to complete explorer challenges, you need to find treasure maps, hidden trinkets and valuables. There are plenty of Treasure Maps in Red Dead Redemption 2. You need to find 9 treasures in total to complete the explorer challenges.
