@DiamondDave when you lower the flag you become a sitting duck. Somebody can walk into your camp and blow you away. With my flag up some a-hole lassoed me and dragged me out until. Show safety in camp is not an absolute. If I was rockstar's king for a day, I would make the blip disappear when the owner is in his camp, flag-up.

I was resting by my campfire when some Bum-of-a-Stitch LASSOED ME, dragged me, and then was bouncing up and down on me. As soon as I cut loose I'm lassoed again and this process repeated five or six times until finally I hit the DIE button. I reported the player as a griefer. I was so angry I didn't have the presence of mind to take a recording of it to share here

@Kean_1 there is already a griefer measure in place. If you "report" the player, Rockstar asks what type (of 4) activity occurred and specifically, in writing, mentions griefing, regards it as offensive behavior for disrupting the normal gameplay of others.

Lowering the flag means I'm vulnerable, others unwelcome. If I'm vulnerable, I'm wanting protection...(dragging alligator carcasses and stacking them around my posse's camp, perhaps? --and wouldn't it be fun to lower the flag and annihilate some griefer?) Wouldn't it be cool if you're red dot did not appear on the map when you are encamped. AMBUSH!! [I love my posse site: I can hunt birds and wild boar from the campfire!!!]

I miss the sleep part from the story game because there's a certain times I like you fish or hunt.. sometimes using sleep to plan my arrival time after a long ride.

@jACKx I found out in the story game early on about saddles and stirrups. They each add speed! Despite all my grinding my initial horse, Yancy, is as fast as a three-wheeled skateboard. But he's grown on me despite a little gunshy-ness. Upgraded Gerden Vaquero saddle is BEST, and hooded stirrups as said previously.

I'm legal. Just turned. 21 [whining: ] I just want a better horse, better ammo and one stinking fishing lure.

Mine. Okay so @HooverRAD will correctly tell you I am just North of Sorry as a player and only slightly better as a posse leader. But I sighted an alligator long range, changed to my big block the scope and saw two alligators one atop The other. I fired one shot. Killed four gators, two of them perfect. Kodak Moment. That WehTuFat girl can SHOOT. And I never even knew gators had foursomes ::wink::

@The Coca-Cola Kid as WehTuFat, I paid $200 for a large camp for The Grey Hares Gang , and it was established in the area I selected. The next session, my camp was on the opposite end of the map. So as a large camp purchaser, it's $5 to move the doggone thing (almost every session,). It's like buying a trailer home and somebody moving the trailer when you feel like going home and it's not there!

Apparently there's one particular rooftop with singlr access point, i.e. limited exposure/vulnerability. It is a headshot Paradise. Here's a map of all the rooftops.

CHECK THIS OUT: my camp was in the extreme West desert in the middle of absolute nowhere. I'm two steps from the fire pit I noticed the pink circle very nearby. All of a sudden I got lassoed and dragged out of my camp and killed!

I took a headshot as I jumped off my horse at the butcher; once again I have been had. So I rode out of town to a stranger and he assigned me a mission: avenging a killing. My assignment was to assassinate the player that had just griefed me!! Cool, I thought--revenge with XP and cash! But I guess the player received a notice there was a bounty on his head. I know sooner got a map fix and he was gone from the server. has anyone else encountered this or is Rockstar finally implementing worthwhile solutions??

A mace-like spray canister of GRIEFER-B-GONE 😁

I got up into snow yesterday for the first time online and got the warning msg that my metabolism was hampered because I didn't have warm clothing. Kind of surprised me. clothing is the last thing I want to spend scarce money on.

I seem to be plagued by griefers, and shared some of it under different threads. Two instances are remarkable. Couple days ago, I was hunting and the griefer stopped along the road to shoot me. He was with a buddy. So I sent a duel request and the griefer accepted. The time contest began and every time I would try to engage the griefer his buddy would shoot me. I left that server. The other really annoying instance was when I was at the top of a steep canyon picking off bad guys at a hideout. All of a sudden another player is at the bottom of that canyon looting the bodies before I could get down there. I shoot him and start winding my way down the canyon and he shoots me. By the time I respawn, the griefer had looted all the bodies and captured the leader and probably a treasure map. As terrible as the economy is in the online version. 2 hours is a lot of play time to waste hunting and fishing when some stinking trigger-happy idiot negates one's efforts.

On the Xbox One, when you highlight the wrap, there's a graphic that shows you that nothing is improved. Upgrading the barrel for instance, if you lengthen the barrel or rifle it you will see the improvement it makes when hovering the cursor over that item. The wrap doesn't do anything for any of my weapons.

Yesterday a Level 109 player--One(something)Cracker--shot me again and again and again and again and again and again. Because my main character is glitched I've been using my other character called WehTuFat who is a female and a level 98 player hog-tied me, took me to a camp and threw me on the ground, and every time I break loose he'd hog-tie me and throw me down again. After five or so times I was unsuccessful in overtaking or killing him, I mashed the B [Die] and promptly left the server. it was so weird I wonder if it was the Chinese surname which is a joke from college or something nefarious having to do with the female character in his camp.... If you need to be a griefer to level-up I guess I never will. I've given up hunting and fishing and will just stick with mission oriented play. I just want to enjoy the game! 😎👍

Cool concept. but I almost choked and nearly died of heavy metal poisoning when I was deputized and wore a short-lived badge in the Story. But it's cool to know someone is going to be out there doing a little Griefer Madness.

In real life people get together once a week to play cards or bowl or play golf. I like the idea of posse members agreeing on a set time to play a couple-plus hours so a full 7-man force can wreak havoc!! Tactics.. working as a real team. BONUS: they could contribute to buying all the options for a really cool camp! Your thoughts?
