I have found in order to achieve the 70 gold medals, before I start a mission, I save the game, fill up all my meters including deadeye BEFORE initiating the mission and knowing all the objectives in advance. That way you don’t take any health items during the mission and “if” you fail to get gold you can load your save and try again. More time consuming than the built in “replay” mission feature but this way you don’t start out the mission severely disadvantaged.
