  1. Mail delivery missions in strawberry can get cold in early morning. I get the red snowflake reminding me my stats are taking a hit no matter how well I was bundled. The way my horse is steaming after running all over still makes me grin. I have also tried saving different outfits at the tailor, can’t seem to find one that says suitable for cold weather.
  2. It’s all opinion and what tool suits you best. I am not gifted with the innate ability some folks have for shooting, I actually have to work at it. To me using a 45/70 to defend a home is not an option it just costs to much to train with for my personal acceptable level of competency. If that makes me less of a person in someone’s opinion then so be it. I prefer to be better trained then lucky.... but again that’s just my opinion.
  3. I can attest to hickok45’s assessment on rim fire ammo. I have an antique Remington 32 rimfire single shot that’s pretty much a wall hanger now. I couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn if I were inside with the door closed, much less any varmint smaller than an oil tanker.
  4. Thanks to hickok45:
  5. The epilogue in single player had chores arround the house. Keen eyes may have picked out there were some crops growing in the field. You couldn’t interact with them but they seemed to grow or wilt based on rain or lack there of. Maybe setting up a farm where you can hire npcs and have some income based on eggs, milk, beef and vegetable/grains and how well they are tending your land would be interesting. Add to that having a horse ranch where you could place wild horses, again use npc’s to tend and manage sales from both NPC and PC buyers. Last but not least mining. It would be really cool if you did the prospecting, then filed the claim, and had NPC’s tend it until the ore ran dry. You have to do the front end work of finding the strike, but it’s the NPC’s who tend it.
  6. Statistical outlier from sample size I would guess then, I may have come across ‘lucky’ server/playtime. I am hoping for actual change which is certainly making me bias. I should observe change behavior at least a week before opening my pie hole
  7. Something is slightly different. I actually met players out in the wilderness that were hideout clearing and hunting/fishing last night. Unlike during the opening week everyone was not trying to race in on their horse and headshot each other, it was actually quite pleasant. Last night was also the first time I can remember that I entered Blackeater, Valatine, and Tumbleweed to retrieve my horse with players in town and there wasn’t a massacre going on. Now this is a small sample size, but I am holding it’s at lease pointing in the right direction of enjoyable gameplay. And sorry for the duplicate topic, my filters weren’t set and I didn’t see the other topic till after I posted.

  9. If this is guaged by how many mounts have died then it’s definatly me. I apparently kill my mount every time I log in, ride in any direction, or place a pelt ..... epic!
  10. I enjoy PvE, but understand there is want for PvP. If you want to make me deal with PvP all the time then give me some immersive suspension of disbelief. Make ‘murder’ actually a deterrent instead of a trivial penality. Flag offenders for hours even after respawn. Make bounties for ‘murder’ incremental and exorbitant, including gold and XP for tracking down a ‘murder’. Or make that penality actually have consequences, like permently loosing / dropping firearms, funds, items, and or Perminant loss of mounts. Make towns and cities raise the calls for marshals and mobs to hunt down offenders. If you want to kill other players there are events for that. If you really have to pull the trigger on a PvEer, have a consequence that is meaningful. Otherwise, speaking personally, I have no reason to buy gold (mocotransactions coming soon) to lessen the grind or continue to play in lobby after lobby of griefers.
  11. Please stop with the ‘hey let’s add zombies’. If you rework the idea into an alternate reality, like Deadlands RPG, then by all means have at it. But adding zombies just for fun is sorta worn out in my opinion.
  12. I think it’s great that there is the potential for an option. Similar to eating at a buffet. If you want to rush in and rush out, there’s an option for that. If you want to spend the time investigating all the flavors the buffet has to offer, you can spend the time to do that as well. That’s two ends of the spectrum, what has me excited is all of the possibilities to explore from mundane to specialized. RDR2 is offering more opportunities then is available in most games today.
