I feel like I'm playing Assassin's Creed...

I love this game so far, but does anyone else feel like it's copying a lot from the Assassin's Creed franchise? Obviously Arthur can't climb building and stuff but the birds eye view, the way strangers greet you when you walk buy them, the way you loot, and the running all remind me of Assassin's Creed. Not a bad thing to me because I loved Assassin's Creed but wanted to see if anyone else feels this way too.

Hello @jmp7624 and welcome to the forum.

Yes, I sometimes do get the "Assassins Creed" vibe, especially when the pop up sound in the game when it alerts you. The way people talk to you has that same feeling Assassins Creed does. Maybe Rockstar got some inspiration from the Assassins Creed franchise with the way you interact with people, who knows!

Again, welcome to the forum, and may I recommend you to the "Introduce Yourself" section of the forum? https://www.rdr2.org/forums/forum/5-introduce-yourself/

Regards 😎

Movement is so much more smooth in AC, the horse comes to you when you whistle in AC but not as much in RDR, menusystem is very good and easy to keep track of in AC and not very good in RDR. The walkingspeed is good in AC and in RDR its either way too slow or way too fast.

It might be similar kind of game, but AC makes these small things so much more enjoyable and its a good balance and story in the game. In RDR you will spend more time on following/walking superslow than you will on anything else, and on AC you have to use skills and brain while its more linear "do what Rockstar says" in RDR.

This is ofcourse opinions from player to player, but IMO AC is way more a fun game you actually play while RDR is more a linear follow the script kind of game.
