*MILD SPOILER* What did you choose?

Exit Pursued by A Bruised Ego mission, it's fairly early on and many of us should have completed it by now BUT in the name of playing it safe:

What did you do? Did you stay behind and kill the bear? Or did you cash in your chips after scaring it off and leave with Hosea?

I stayed behind and tracked it back down thinking I could kill it with my pistol after unloading into it in the mission part. I shot it and it charged me; beating me up something fierce but I managed to wrestle my knife into it and run it off, then finally kill it with my pistol. Skinned it and turned the skin into the trapper for some cash and a nice bear hat. 

So, how did your encounter go?

I legged it!  Discretion being the better part of valor, and all that.  I do intend to go back and kill the SOB, though.

I stayed, died twice lol, and then got smart ... climbed way up on a rock and started shooting it from a distance while it raged down below me unable to reach me.

... and then I promptly lost the skin ..

@Melting Snowflakes thanks for including that in a spoiler alert. I do appreciate that we are doing our best here to keep the game fresh for newer folks as they purchase it. I do hate to hear that last part, I hope you can manage to recover another!

@Poggy There is no shame in discretion. I think you made a wise choice; I think you may be able to return better equipped for the task!
