Compendium Question?

Pretty basic question, the bar the under each animal in the compendium, what exactly does this indicate? Is it quality of the pelts?

You get more percentage as you study, kill and skin them. Not sure what the point of it is. I've never checked to see if more info appears as the percentage goes up.

The percent is based on the 4 things. To get 100%, you just need to Scan, Track, Kill and Collect each animal at least once.  I have some animals I've killed and collected like 50+ of them, but haven't tracked them (mostly birds), so I don't have 100% on them yet.  Eventually will, but not a top priority for me.

Yep  - click on the pictur e it will tell you what you need to do to complete the bar - some need four things - some don't

Ya, just took another look at the compendium, looks like birds don't need to be tracked (kinda hard to track something in the air without modern RADAR), fish you don't need to scan or track, just catch and catch with specific bait. Probably all different depending on what category, don't feel like checking all the categories right now.
