Missing money

Hello,. Recently I sold some fish and had a total just over 400 dollars..  A few players started killing me and for fun I fought back until I was out of ammo.  That's when I noticed over 200 missing from my character.  Did something change.  We're these people being allowed to loot my corpses or was this a possible glitch.  Any ideas?

I never heard of that, doesn't sound right to me. I've been killed many times and never lost money that I know of.

I have experienced this, where I logged off and later came back to have half my money gone.  

Now you have expenses like stable fees and some other things.  Now the other day I got into it with some other players and after I got hem to leave me alone, I noticed that my money was lower then when I started and I died more then a few times being out numbered 3 to 1.  In the campaign, I know if you die too often you will lose money.  Figured it was the same in Online mode.
