  1. What I am fine. The issue being is that it was stated that they would give the campaign the same attention as they give the online content. They haven't. They didn't guarantee anything other then they would give it the same attention. To me game companies target larger and larger audiences with games and after release they only seem to want to focus on a smaller portion of that group. Yes campaign is nice. Yes they didn't state what there end plan was. They haven't gave any more attention to the campaign and focused totally on RDO. There are plenty of gamers that jump for joy. They used focus on both and now don't.
  2. I'm not going to waste my time looking up the article. I just remember that one of the guys from Rockstar being interviewed and stating that this wasn't going to be a western version of GTA5 or GTAO. No he didn't commit to adding DLC, he did state at that time, that they was going to focus to give the single player campaign the same focus that they would put to the online content. Which to me wasn't done, by the mere fact that they haven't paid 2 cents worth of attention to RDR2 since its release, once it came out they dropped everything to focus on RDO. For those that have a short memory, RDR was given attention as well as it's online game was. Seeing how their actions have shown that are following the same routine that they did with GTA5. To be clear, they have did very well for RDO. It has became a enjoyable experience compared to what it was at release. It doesn't change the fact 60 to 100 hours is anywhere close to the amount of hours that you get from RDO.
  3. It keeps coming up cause prior to release, they made statements similar to "Oh, this isn't GTA. We intend to focus on the single player campaign as much as we do the online content. Then after everything is said and done, they have lied through their teeth about it. Seriously, this day and age, if you have zero intent to do it. Then say it upfront and don't make it sound as you are going to do something you have no interest in doing. The online seems to be following the same business model that GTAO did. Now with that being said, why yes the campaign was very nice. AKA, why some players wouldn't mind that being extended. Some of those would easily pay for extended content. To me that is why this sleezy used car saleman act gets tiresome. I understand they have the right to change their mind, but if you advertise a game for so many different playstyles and then forget about them cause you just don't feel like you have been greedy enough. Sad part is that is the way the whole industry has been going over the years and being one that has a whole family that games. Just tired of the snakes oil salesmen.
  4. In GTAO, I knew a gent, that him and his crew, used to play that game to death and one point he stated he would never have to worry about money in the game. Every new thing he to buy right a way while others would have to farm forever to gain enough to buy new stuff. I would expect RDO, will follow the same path. I would figure that the new stuff won't be quite as crazy. Players will just be given new reasons to farm and gain money. Some will just have the money and never have to worry about it.
  5. It's simple, they are following a similar business plan they used with GTO. Now to say they care about SP vs Online, well their actions speak volumes. Yes the single player is fun, players enjoy it and would like to see extensions of that or spinoffs. Even though they had stated that they would give single player campaign the same focus that they would give the online, soon as it comes down to dollars and cents. They haven't focused on single player content since release. When the online hit, the campaign did it's job and got players playing. Nowadays, campaigns are nothing more then tutorials to get players interested in the online gaming.
  6. Well, no reason to keep playing this junk anymore. All that talk about they was going to treat RDR different then they did GTA and yet they follow the same stupid gameplan that they used with GTA.
  7. Sad part is I was hoping this would have been more like RDR and less like GTA. Some players feel the other way and they won. I still enjoy the game, it's just not what it could have been.
  8. I admit I don't play this as much as I use to. When I do get on, I haven't really seen the griefing as much. This weekend I did get a special case and I admit to me it wasn't really griefing. I logged in and was doing a little fishing and hunting, when another player decided that what I really needed was his participation. I didn't really mind, I was just goofing around anyway. So he kills me and I respawn. He immediately charges at, as he comes charging at me I aim and accidently shoot and kill his horse. I then kill him. When he respawns, he rides away and I let him go. I figure if he ain't killing me, we can co-exist on the same map. Several minutes later, he decides to interrupt my hunting again. I notice this time though he brought friends this time. Like I said I was just missing around and I didn't care if I got interrupted. It wasn't quite an hour, I got 1 or 2 kills here or there but not many. They on the other hand just kept killing me over and over. My wife, who watched the whole fiasco. Asked why did they keep attacking me? How was 7 on 1 fun for anyone? How was that fair? What was they trying to prove? Then she turns ask why I would put up with that for so long? Here was my answers. Cause I didn't rage quit and leave the servers. It's fun for them cause they got to win, over and over. It wasn't fair and it was intentionally designed that way. They proved that 7 players can beat me in a shooting contest. Cause if they get to walk away proud of themselves for ruining my gaming session, when I didn't care. That it was possible that some other player or players was enjoying their gaming session, cause these yahoos was busy with me and it annoyed them that I didn't just quit.
  9. I agree. One of the reasons I don't play as much as I use to. Then again, I don't get griefed as much either.
  10. Why exactly is online gaming about wasting others' time? When did it stop being about having fun playing and enjoying a game? I understand not getting mad, but for so many. To have fun in games like this, too many feel they "Have to" disrupt the fun of others. The game designers feel a need to design the game so this becomes a priority.
  11. Yes, players being griefed can quit, change servers, sending nasty messages to the griefer. Why does it always have to those options? Why can't the big bad griefer, who is seeking crazy challenging hardcore PvP, why don't they go PvP with those who wish to PvP? Why do they seek easy targets if they want PvP? If there is an issue, players should be allowed to vent, they shouldn't have to run away just because their momma didn't teach them to share and it shows. Not saying that the PvE players shouldn't be a little thicker skinned then they are, but games like this seem to call out to certain types of players offering this perfect open world. Rockstar is trying to improve the game and live upto their promise to "fix griefing". Not sure it's happening, but they are making it interesting.
  12. I did like Charles, so seeing what actually happened to him would be cool. Sadie's story would be ok, but to me it could be wrapped up in a DLC for RDR2.
  13. Rockstar believes they can "fix" the "griefing" issue and keep the "one size fits all arena" and make everyone happy. You have stated it can't be done and I argued it can. Rockstar is doing it their way. Is it fixed? Some are happy, others aren't. Is it fixed though? If the answer is Rockstar believes it is. They take our critiques, our complaints, and our suggestions. They treat is like clay and shape it into what they think is best or works in their minds. They then release it as is, that is the point. Offensive and Defensive option, they believe it works and that is the point.
  14. Sad part is you guys can knock the rumors. Though they may not all be true, some of them prove to be true. There are just some things Rockstar doesn't want you to know, so they just don't say. Not a fan of reddit, but there are people on there that seem to find things that companies don't want you to know. It also doesn't mean finding out will change the end results. It just creates more what ifs.
  15. Yes, he has been reported to everyone who should be concerned. The response I got back was that I needed to provide physical proof. Seeing how this was through chat, it's hard to provide the proof that they wanted.
  16. As the old saying goes though, "It isn't work if you enjoy what you are doing." And often times in the PvEvP debates. These types of players will tell you if you don't like it, quit or switch servers. I agree and seeing how I find myself playing with randoms more and more on these type of games. I find it harder and harder to find like minded players who just want to play to have fun.
  17. That is just it though, Griefers seem to only enjoy the game if they can cause others not to enjoy. I have had discussions with some who feel for them to have fun. They not only need to get you leave the server, quit the game, and/or rage for hours in disappointment. One in particular stated he not only wanted you to quit playing the game permanently. He also said nothing makes him happier then to come to forums like this and read post about players who got trounced and was so mad that they made a big statement and would leave the game. He said it made him feel that he was really good at the game when that happened and that is how he rates his gaming skills. He also told the group that it doesn't bug him when players report him. He plays using rules provided by the game itself, so they can't ban him. They have to change the rules. Not every griefer is to this extreme and I don't want everyone thinking that every griefer is this guy. Though to some perspective, many players push the envelope cause gamers have higher expectations and get bored quicker and easier. They will find ways to entertain themselves when they think the game does not.
  18. My experience is that it does matter what time of day you sign in and it seems that players have different experiences based on their location and the servers they are usually on. Recently played and was hunting, had loaded a few carcasses on the back of my horse when I noticed players starting to spawn. I just got on my horse and started to ride away. Almost immediately was surrounded by about 6 to 8 players. They didn't appear to be together, but they didn't seem to know what to do either. It was kind of like in the westerns right before a showdown. I loaded up my best ammo into my gun and waited. Figuring eventually one would go off of the reservation eventually. Nothing happened, so I just road away. After some distance, I stopped and looked back. They all was off their horses doing emotes to one another and then got on their horses and rode off in the directions they came from. I then went to a deserted area and continued my Hunting In games like this it's funny that usually most players will shoot onsight. Then you see this happen and what is in the water.
  19. Actually, it's a PvEvP game. Where both worlds are suppose to co-exist. Problem is that some PvP players feel the need to chase and attack players that have zero interest in PvP. These same players find doing this and ruining the fun of others more fun then PvP. They usually will run when attacked by other PvP players or if players fight back and can prove they can hurt them. By the way these PvP players have been called "Griefers" and "PKs", all the time just given those who really enjoy PvP a bad name. This isn't the 1st time Rockstar has done this, RDR and many GTA games as well. The games have only ever so slightly over the years, but the players have changed and the whole prove how good you are by attacking those who don't want to PvP is becoming the norm. So no one was surprised by the trainwreck this game started out to be. They was shocked that Rockstar stated they didn't just didn't want it to be that way and then made it to be exactly that way. They are showing signs of improvement, yet has focused far more on PvP then they have PvE.
  20. Seeing on the Internet, that RDO is no longer considered in Beta. Yet to see anything from Rockstar, but this could be a good thing.
  21. Actually it's a PvEvP based game. It allows for both PvE and PvP. Just because some prefer PvE, doesn't mean PvP can't nor does it mean it has to either. The opposite could be true as well. By the way, you missed out the rest of that paragraph, which sounds more PvE then PvP. Of course above that they also mention this being a unique game unlike anything else. They apparently never heard of GTAO.
  22. According to the rumors, they are. It's called GTA6 and has nothing to do with this game. That is just sad IMHO.
  23. RDR: Undead Nightmare, I think that would make a great movie. If done by the right people. You could pull in western fans and zombie loving fanatics. At the time of release I thought it was ignorant idea till I played it. As for TD or it's sequel, I would be afraid they would hose it up too bad. Now they did TD Origins mini movie, you can see that on Amazon Prime, it wasn't too bad. Yet you see what was done with Assassin's Creed. I think people have a hard time converting games to movies.
  24. Not saying they don't need time, but they have been working on it since off and on since the release of the 1st one. GTAO seems to be their business model. Just curious on how long players are supposed to go blindly into the night before saying, "Hey, you know I don't think this is going to get fixed?" Beta shouldn't be taken months or even years. It should have been fixed and ready to go. I have even heard players state that we didn't pay for RDO, that we only paid for RDR2 and RDO is just a freebie they through in. I just laugh, cause you had to buy RDR2 to get that freebie. I say don't give too much to Rockstar's generousity. They are doing it to make money above all else.
