Good news it works. I can't see a darn thing any of you have posted. Just kidding! -
He's just taking his cut off the top. Every vendor does this in the game. I discovered that if I am trying to sell stuff too fast. I lose money in the transactions. If I sell one item or group of one item and then wait for him to ring that up. I haven't lost a thing, it just takes way longer.

Shooting/Killing Someone then Logging Off?
YodaMan 3D replied to Renascent's topic in Red Dead Online
They did Alpha, Closed Beta, and a Open Beta last time. Being so close to release, the Open Beta was just to get players a taste right before release to help boost sales. Which I am guessing that is the same thing they are doing now. According to a friend, the forums are still divided by extremes. Those who hated it and pointed out issues and those who say BS and rave how it's the greatest game ever. His stance is still, "They made changes. If you liked The Division, you'll like The Division 2. Things you loved and things you hate are still there." Yet he won't tell me anything other then that. Keeps saying I will need to play for myself. -
Just Curious; What Level Are You & How Long Have You Been Playing?
YodaMan 3D replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
They do and yet they need to deal with the issues that keep disrupting the game as well. Bugs and glitches and cheats. This last weekend, my son showed me a video, where a group of players went out to the middle of no where, and the lowest level player stood there and shot the others at point blank range in the head. Claiming to be able to make 50k xp in an hour. I have seen boosting in a game, but what exactly can Rockstar do to fix that? -

Longer the job takes to complete, the more money and xp it pays out in the end. So if you wait til the last few seconds, you will make more then if you rush through and complete it in just a few seconds. -
I have no doubts my horse is a coward. It just seems odd that if i ain't riding it and have it just follow me, some areas it just will not cross unless I chase it down and ride it to the destination.

What Do You Think The Odds Are Of An Update Before The End Of Feb?
YodaMan 3D replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
I agree that facts are very important, but often times rumors are started somewhere and often times off of true statement. In the gaming industry more times then not, the fans find the truth before the game manufacturer releases the info to the public. -
Thing was it walked to about half way across the bridge. It wasn't like it stopped soon as we got there. It walk about half way across, get spooked and then run all the way back. There was just one point where it just wouldn't cross. I had to drop the pelt I was carrying to hop on it to get it moving beyond that point.
-
There was nothing around. I was looking just in case, dropped the pelt I had and grabbed the gun, nothing insight, and nothing on the map.
-
We was on the bridge.

This is all very very sad.

So this weekend I was heading for Strawberry, I had a large 3 star pelt on my horse and I had another in my hand. Decided to use the railroad tracks. Help make sure less activity that way. At one point I reached an area where the horse just wouldn't pass, in fact it would reach that same spot and then run back the opposite way. Much like it does when a predator is nearby. Odd thing is, their wasn't anything nearby. It just would quit following me and I would have to turn around and chase it down.
-
Tried this and it never seems to work for me. My character is always underweight and nothing I have tried has improved this for me. Some friends showed me this technique and I have been doing it ever since.
-
Tall Trees to Blackwater isn't too bad, pending activity in the area.

Shooting/Killing Someone then Logging Off?

Cause most that fall into the catagory of griefers, really don't want to PvP. They seek easy kills and generally run at the sight of players that prove they can fight back. -
What Do You Think The Odds Are Of An Update Before The End Of Feb?
YodaMan 3D replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
Well the news is just getting better and better. -
I just read an article online, stating that Rockstar has started its plans for updates and it stated they would be coming soon. It also stated these updates are ALL going to be PvP updates. That PvE content will be added much later. Yet recently, many of us have seen statements that NO UPDATES till this summer. So what I can't figure out is, what is what is going on and which stories are believable. With all the games coming out, does Rockstar feel that secure that they won't lose players by stringing us along for months?
-
But what if it's really good hotdog and beer? ;) All joking aside, what did they do?

Funny part is I work with young people, one thing we are told to teach them is that treat others with respect and don't bully each other. Then you hear them talking about games like this, then you hear their parents talk about how good of kids they are. I play these games and will be one of the 1st to have to tell them what jerks their innocent little angels really are.

So tonight, join some randoms you are doing story missions to gain xp and money. Clear the mission pretty quick, but while waiting 30 minutes. We agree to all go hunting. 3 go one way then I go the other. The other 3 start arguing about one of them accusing another for trying to steal the meat and pelt of the animal he just killed. About this time, I see dead animal on the ground and look around. No one in sight, so I skin the beast. About that time another player rides up and accuses me of stilling his kill, accuses me me of stealing the other pelt, start swearing and raising a fuss. So I explain what happen, but this player won't be having us getting along and gets even more vulgar and insulting. By this time the 1st player being accused leaves. The Asshat starts throwing accusations and take the pelt off my horse, throws it on the ground and catches it on fire. Not saying it wasn't his kill, their was no one around at the time I found the body, but he really became unhendge over the deal. Of course the remaining player started agreeing with everything the 1st was saying and at this point they start reading me the riot act about proper edicate for hunting during these missions. My thought is they did what they could to push us out, but not sure why? It isn't like they get more xp or gold for their troubles, is there?

Why posse up? Lone Wolf is the way to MVP!
YodaMan 3D replied to Dark Eco Wolf's topic in Red Dead Online
I too was ready for the Beta, but I also know that if players consider it acceptable process, then in the future this is what we can expect everytime. It doesn't change the fact that it has been stated that they started the process back in 2010. That means it's been 9 years and they keep telling the players more is coming. Just be patient and wait. That goes back to my earlier comments, would you buy a car that you knew wasn't going to work right and told they will fix it. Yet you are expected to continue making payments or buy the car out right? Or a house even? I wan the game done right, but they are given no signs of being fixed or being right. Yet we are suppose to keep playing along as if no issues. For some players they may have an issue and when they complain, another states it's a non-issue. Their game is just fine. So what we find to be acceptable start becoming an issue cause players are just happy to have a game and will say anything just to keep playing. Meanwhile others expect it to be perfect. To me when they decided it was time for micro-transactions, to me that means they are collecting money the game must be fully up and going. -
If you check his out the Posse section, Major runs the Regulators. There is a long list of us in there that you should be able to find at least one of us on.

When you buy a car, are you willing to wait a year for them to get it to start. When you buy a house, are you willing to wait a year for them to add the foundation, walls and roof plus the other things that make it so you can live there. To me if I offer my money up front, it's called a pre-order. They can have it fixed and up in running. It shouldn't be the after thought after they released it. I personally not waiting a year for a Beta to get fixed. They had 9 years, they should have planned better and been better organized. -
I would have to question this theory about it being like the yachts. Only for the reason that I have traveled and fast traveled back and forth across the map. Only to have Cripps move the camp to the otherside. I never changed servers, so unless the game was doing this to everyone, I don't believe that all the players was switching their camp at the same time.

die without being able to defend yourself
YodaMan 3D replied to peppino79's topic in Red Dead Online
This is odd to me, cause all the stranger missions I can think of that allow others to participate. It seems to me that it tells you in less then a minute after you start that others are aware and can participate. Considering that most missions take at least 10 minutes, over 90% of that others should be aware of what you are doing, should have a fair idea of where you are going, and finally where the best places to set up to stop you.
