Aim assist has stopped working

I just logged on to red dead online and the first thing i noticed my aim assist wasnt working . I then checked my control settings and nothing has changed nor did i change anything . I did a hard restart on my xbox one and tried again and its still has no aim assist ... i changed the setting to normal , wide , narrow , its all the same its acting like its stuck in free aim . Its the same for single player also ... anyone have a solution to this ? its most annoying .

Was a controller issue for me ... my bad .

Mine was playing up for the last two days, but it was fine again last night.  May have been improved by clearing the cache (which I did last night), not sure.  But seems ok again now.

You using the standard Xbox one controller? I heard the PDP controllers are better. Maybe you should get yourself a more reliable controller. Glad it fixed itself for ya.

What was your issue OP?

I was having trouble with this last night and couldn't figure out what was going on but today it worked fine. If I am accidentally doing something with my controller, I want to make sure I am aware of it lol

Elite Controller...  The toggle the half pull on triggers...  Make it a full pull and it will fix this...
