Free Roam Gameplay

Hi everyone,

 

I’m new to RDR2. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos where people are free roaming, I wasn’t sure how to do this?

 

I'm going through the Story mode at the moment (only about 10% of the way through), but each mission just seems to go after the other and I wasn’t sure how to just free roam around the maps?

I have the initial tutorial, but the freeroam seemed available after just a few missions.  You may not have went far enough yet, but should be close.

Ignore the missions and just roam.
