Rock carvings

Hi there, im working in the 100% completion and i have to find all rockcarvings. However ill found a coupple of these carvings already before starting the actual quest. I went back to the locations of the carvings ive found but he cant take notes anymore. Somebody knowes what to do?

you should still get credit, go flip through the journal and check the completion status by tapping left on the d-pad

Did you complete the mission Geology for beginners. So you can mail the locations to Francis Sinclair. You can't get them all before you have completed the mission. He lives in a cabin just north of strawberrie.
