Journal and Hidden Tunnel

So I'm going around and trying to get journal entries for each of the Points of Interest for my journal but for some reason I just cannot get the prompt to record the Hidden Cave to show up. Thus I cannot record the presence of the Hidden Tunnel in my journal. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a specific spot I need to stand at?

Did you happen to do the encounter in the cave yet? It may take 3 days of checking but eventually someone will spawn there. This has to be done before you can do the journal bit.

I have the encounter and nothing

I wish I could remember which one it is, but for some reason the Hidden Tunnel won't register until after a certain mission in Chapter 2.
