Special moonshine recipe?

There is a daily challenge to complete 1 special moonshine recipe.

I dont see one in my menu and I am not sure how to do it.

Can someone explain please?

If it is a daily challenge it must be something I can do, it isnt locked, but I looked in all my recipe papers and stuff, I dont see it anywhere and I would like to get the gold for doing it.

Im level 20 shiner, completed the missions and all that, so I must have missed it.

It's a daily challenge again today, so I did a quick test.

Tried one of the 226 ones first, that didn't work, but one of the 247 ones did the trick.

The ones worth 247 have a Collector's item as ingredient. I guess that's the special part.

Wouldn't a special just be a flavored moonshine?  

Seems like any shine with a name would be special.

Yeah, what Freak said. I don't remember which I did, think it was one worth 226ish, and that did the trick.

Hmm I have done a few and none of them qualify, not sure what I am missing.

I've also noticed some recipes have a gold star next to them.  Not completely sure what they mean. 

Maybe those are specials.

That spiced island shine.....wow!!!!

Gives you all three gold rings AND cores.  But you need that collectors rum to make it.  I'm gonna be hunting that rum constantly so I can always have some on tap.
