How do i take rifle from horse?

As the title says, how do i do it? I'm on like the third mission in story mode and I'm stuck, cant progress because of this little thing. Tried looking for it on keymapping, no luck. Please how do i? This is PC btw. Thanks

You use the weapons menu on your horse. Press TAB to cycle through your weapons. With the menu open, right clicking the weapon will select what your default weapon will be.

Isn't it tab to open it though? Or do you hold it? I don't remember. I played with a controller because I couldn't figure out the keyboard controls.

I couldn't figure it out either man. I ended up going back to controller on PC. It is just easier and since the game was designed to play with a controller, makes more sense to play it like that. Not very big on using a keyboard for gaming though myself.
