Having a few issues

So recently I decided to play rdr2 again after a few months and which I usually play offline. So, I start it up and all of a sudden it says check your connection go through these steps etc your game might need an update. So I go online and update the game, then go back offline again. Now, I start up the game again and the problem occurs again, I don't understand why I can't play it offline anymore because it always worked offline before now, so any help or tips to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

In regards to your problem, that's strange.  I know I can disconnect by PS5 and still play the game.  Which platform are you on?  ....PC , PS, XB...?

fyi....  I just tried it right now after disconnecting my PS5 from the internet and I was able to get in.  The only message I got was the pop-up that said I couldn't use any of the online features or something to that effect but the story mode loaded in and I could play.

I tried it again this morning and it still says check your connection

Yeah i only want to play story mode offline because for some reason now, it only lets me load up the game when I'm connected to the Internet, because before it didn't let me load it up when I was offline which never haopens

Hey so I tried it yet again and we'll it takes me to the part where it says the name of the game and the button at the bottom right to continue but literally only for a split second and then does the same thing takes me back to the Xbox home screen and says check your network connection

Yeah, I don't know what to say. I'm not sure why yours is acting up but it's not something they've changed as far as making it always online or something like that. At least on my PS5 I can still play the campaign offline.
