Ridiculous oversight in Rhodes in Chapter 3

It is possible, during Chapter 3, while still acting as a Deputy to the Sheriff in Rhodes, to find a man attacking a woman behind the gun store. Upon intervening, the man pulls a knife and attacks Arthur. Since you're acting as a Deputy, though, the game just won't allow you to use weapons and you will be stabbed to death. I cannot possibly comprehend why that's there or why, especially, they gave the npc a knife.

I never had an issue. I just run and tackle him then proceed to beat the hell out of him. You can't use weapons, but that doesn't mean you have no alternative.

I would suggest reporting it to Rockstar Support as a potential bug.

I know this is over a year old, looking for something else but did you know you can dodge attacks? That's what I did. Just dodge and hit. X on Xbox. Getting back into the game and thought I'd reply aha
