  1. By the way, @TheHansonGoons - like the avatar, but kinda sad you couldn't find an animated GIF of a cowboy rapidly drumming his hands on the saddlehorn of his horse.

  2. I checked the fridge, I checked behind @BropolloCreed79's toilet, I checked around. Couldn't find the beers. Thanks to @Truth, @Freddie Mercury, and @Cokeyskunk for the invite to a new community! Feels like a new season of the Walking Dead. Hope to meet some new characters here, sharpen my spurs, and turn a 10 gallon hat into a beer funnel. See ya guys at the saloon!

  3. When I learned that we wouldn't be playing as John Marston in Red Dead Redemption II and were instead gonna be playing as Arthur Morgan I was convinced that Arthur would die due to the fact that he is not referenced in Red Dead Redemption but seen as Rockstar never do what is expected my money is on Arthur surviving but I do understand that the odds are stacked against him. I'm still very unsure about whether the story will span the several years from 1899 to 1906 when John Marston leaves the gang, the very first teaser trailer for Red Dead Redemption II made me believe that we would see John's departure from the Van der Linde Gang. My belief was that the line spoken by Arthur ("When the time comes you better run and don't look back, this is over") was directed at John. We learn in Red Dead Redemption that John was shot and left for dead during a ferry robbery in 1906 (The ferry on which this takes place is widely assumed to be The Serendipity that can be seen in Red Dead Redemption). During dialogue John states that he left the gang after the gang left him, I think it would be a nice twist if we find out that John wasn't being entirely truthful when he discusses what happened during what turned out to be his last robbery. We know from dialogue throughout the trailers we've seen that Arthur is well aware that their way of life and that of outlaws is coming to an end, maybe he feels his days are numbered because he's a well known senior gun in the Van der Linde Gang and that there is no way out for him but he does see a way out for John and his family so he makes a plan with John and/or Abigail before the ferry robbery which involves him shooting John during the gang's escape purely to maim him so that John has an excuse/reason to leave the gang behind. After doing this and insuring John's path away from the gang Arthur could either die by Lawmen as a result of carrying out this ruse or fake his death when The Serendipity sinks after which he travels to South America or Haiti to live out the rest of his days. This is all purely hypothetical and just the best ending my imagination can muster.

And hopefully one day I will find a Civil War drummer boy gif and get him rollin'! A little late to the party. Had lost a wagon wheel on the way and the damned Hatfields wouldnt let me borrow some bacon to grease up my new 'un! I found something called Tumble Weed? Smells like what Puffs LikeBull has in he teepee(or tipi if ya prefer). What is a good thread to wet my whistle, cowpokes??

  20. Can't we just go ahead and say most newer "artists"...? They're popular for 1 song for a while, then they're only popular because of the dumb sh*t they do to stay relevant... Hell, I'd go ahead and say 95% of the entertainment industry as a whole.

  21. I'd like that, too. I just meant I think it's correct that you play as Morgan for the first half (ish), then as Marston for the last part.

  22. We can't ignore the fact that John didn't go after him in RDR1. For me there are only 2 possible reasons for this: He died in this story. He made his peace with John, ie helped him. The second one sounds much more like what R$ would do. Have Arthur help John, then leave the gang. This builds your bond with the protagonist (as who wouldn't like someone who helped John Marston) and it would explain why John had no beef with him in the end. Having him die would, like we've said, be too predictable.

  23. I'm hoping Rockstar won't release update after update where they add increasingly crazy vehicles, weapons and features like they did with GTA Online, I'm doubtful they'll take this route however after all the time they've spent developing realistic features and gameplay mechanics for Red Dead Redemption II so I think it's unlikely we'll be seeing aliens, zombies, flying horses etc in Red Dead Online. I am however hoping that there'll be two types of Freeroam, a Friendly Freeroam and a Normal Freeroam. If Rockstar decide to include another glorified version of God Mode in Red Dead Online like they did with GTA Online instead of different Freeroam types I'm gonna make sure to stay well clear of that shit show.

  24. It was part of the game though. Why? To me the game should have had it. I see no reason not to. I have been hunting a lot in RDR and you see horses almost everywhere. Considering how important horses were to that time. I would think that would have been better then picking flowers.

  27. Disclaimer, if anyone takes offense to anything I have to say now, or in the future, blame @Cokeyskunk and @Truth, it's their fault I'm here. I was just going to play the game and enjoy it, and these clowns dragged me here kicking and screaming. Please don't look at my participation here like some sort of ominous sign: the last two communities I was heavily involved in have gone down like the Hindenburg if it were crashing into the Superbowl during the National Anthem (Marvel Heroes Omega/Friday the 13th the Game). I am prone to hyperbole, snarkiness, and generally making an ass of myself at my own expense, and I have a habit of carpet bombing forums, as others here can attest. I killed 2 Xbox 360's with RRoD playing the original RDR, and I am beyond enthused for the sequel. The more I see and hear, the more excited I get. This is going to be fantastic, and with the way Rockstar has built the online component of their last few titles, I'm confident that the replay value for what appears to be a fairly limited story (as a prequel) will be nothing short of amazing. For now, I'm just getting the lay of the land here, but trust me, you won't have to look hard to find me around once I get acclimated. I refuse to apologize in advance.

  30. I'll just play to the tune of Arthur. If he is a heartless hitman, which is what I gather from the trailers, then I will play just like that. I don't tend to be creative or thinking outside the box with my gaming style.
