It's funny, but I always view Bone Tomahawk as a spiritual successor to The 13th Warrior (the original book, Eaters of the Dead, Crichton based off of Beowulf). The villains are remarkably similar, and the two make for a fantastic double feature.
BT is one of those films where you sit down and have a completely different theory of where the story is going as opposed to how it ends up. I know @Cokeyskunk would rather have more supernatural elements to potential DLC, ala RDR's Undead expansion, but based on the growth of GTAV post launch through content updates, there's certainly room for multiple options once the release cycle ramps up for DLC on RDR2.
I do think they should keep some of the more outlandish ideas for later in the cycle: focus more on expanding the narrative and world building through the initial DLC offerings and sprinkle in hints of what is coming down the line, but keep it under wraps.
I also wouldn't mind seeing limited time events occur in-world. Several games do this, and it'd be cool to see R* explore this option.
