  2. Hi everyone, the RDR2 Wiki is now open for business here https://www.rdr2.org/wiki/ We'd love to see the same community involvement in the wiki as we get in these forums (which as been fantastic)! So feel free to help out any way you want. It can be simply proof-reading articles, adding proper Wiki formatting (if required), add interlinking between wiki pages, or adding images all the way through to editing and expanding upon existing articles or creating entirely new ones about ANYTHING to do with the Red Dead Redemption universe. Just make sure you verify your email before you try to start editing anything. Please post here if you have any questions or comments and otherwise I look forward to seeing our wiki section expanding with lots of useful info Thanks! PS: If you are an experienced Wiki editor please get in touch with me via PM.

  3. It's worth it to me for the shipping savings alone. My wife is as addicted to shopping on Amazon as I am to beer. Plus, they have The Grand Tour, which will keep me subscribed as long as they keep pumping out episodes.

  4. What strikes me about this game is that it's not just dorks whose minds will be exploding on the 26th. Going to change gaming this one.

  5. 1. Playing the story- R* are excellent story tellers. I can’t wait to see what adventure they’ve developed over the last 8 years. 2. Bonding with my horse- I played RDR with three horses. The first one didn’t die until more than halfway through the game when a cougar got her. Of course she spawned right back. But even back then, I fought to keep my horse alive. She never caught a bullet or was rode to death. I am totally stoked to now be bonding with another, when the stakes are high. Permanent death. You bet your ass I’ll be loaded up on meds and carrots. 3. The world- My god. I think we’re all in for a f*cking treat with this one. Look at those trailers. Did you see the snowy mountains? The rolling hills? The fields? The developing towns? The desert? The redwood forests? Dynamic weather! Wildlife! On The 26th, if you listen closely, you can hear the minds of a million dork’s exploding. Let’s do this sh*t.

  6. Something I just noticed, at the 2:38 mark, Abigale(?) approaches Arthur about him saving some “silly bastard’s” life. It’s something that goes by in a blink. But I think it’s awesome that Arthur is, seemingly, just strolling through camp and whatever choice he’s (you) made earlier, has prompted her to walk up to him and initiate that conversation. Where does it lead? Maybe nowhere. But it’s another step towards that realism Rockstar is going for. That she seems to exist in this world and is not just another stationary npc waiting for you to approach her.

  7. I want the physical copy. I am old school and like feeling like feeling like my younger self ripping off the cellophane and getting a whiff of the toxic plastic fumes when I pop the case open.

  8. Might have to do an all nighter, can't wait to roam around the world and learn it, will lose track of time after all the fun that I will be having. Plus it get's released on a friday so that's bonus.

  9. Thanks! Our second. A girl. Im starting to influence our boy little by little. He’s 4 so a little young for video games but I’m pushing the classic cartoons. He-Man and such. In a couple years, I’ll break out the NES and we’ll start on some Mario. In 16 years, it better be RDR5!

  10. On October 26th, I'll have an infant in the house. Sleepless nights. I can't really say what state of mind I'll be in that day. But my plan is to put in as much time as I can and still maintain my sanity.

  11. I just watched the full cut of Kill Bill the other day--it's not like burying folks alive is some new phenomenon.

  13. It'd make a fantastic heist mission: steal a car for someone jealous of a rival. Hell, that'd make a nice little global event in the online portion. Stealing cars and racing them for a limited time (maybe a week or 10 days), and you could unlock one as a mission reward.

  14. The beauty of living in a fairly large city is that Gamestop will reopen at 23:30. Everyone who wants to pick up their copy at midnight has to get there before 23:50, pay in full, and line up in front of the store, so they can send in five at a time. You show them your receipt, they hand you your copy of the game, and you're out the door. I've seen them hand out over 300 copies of a game this way and be done by 00:05. It's a good system, and the best part is, I live three blocks away from the store, so I can be playing by 00:30. I've already taken the next day off of work, so it'll be on like Donkey Kong!

  15. Here's my take: R* is most well known for their Grand Theft AUTO series. As such, it seemed a necessity for them to include an automobile in RDR. While you, as the player, got to ride in (and shoot from) it, you were never allowed to drive it -- which Rockstar later admitted was probably a mistake. That said, they DO have ample opportunity to remedy that problem here. To the OP's point, there were some decent automobiles available in 1899. With this crew being modeled after "The Wild Bunch," it's not outlandish to think that if one of those gang members had come across an actual automobile, they would have tried to swipe it for a fun joyride. I can picture Dutch or Arthur discovering a single-cylinder 1899 Packard locked-up in a barn somewhere and taking it for a spin. This would not only remedy the flak they got from not making the car driveable in RDR, but would also be a nice nod to their top franchise.

  16. I had a great horse in RDR. Kept her for almost the entire campaign. Then, I made the mistake of calling for her while I was running out of the mine shaft at the bottom of the cliff. She spawned at the top of the cliff and, like a loyal horse, ran right toward me. She fell about 80 feet to her death. Right at my feet. At the time, that felt worse than it probably should've.
