  1. Are you in late ch 4 or beyond?
  2. The above post is correct, BUT it also worth noting that when you replay a mission through the progress screen you go back in with a pre-determined amount of things NOT what you actually had at the time. I had 99 chewing tobacco to help with Dead Eye on the replay I had precisely zero chewing tobacco. So now I make a manual save before each mission and reload that to get the gold rather than using the replay mission option or screen.

  4. And another thing I just found out. Once you get the tip off, you only have a limited amount of time to rob the coach. Otherwise, you get the message "The stagecoach you received the tip on is no longer in the area". Don't yet know if that means it's gone for good or if Alden will give me the same tip again.
  5. It's not necessary for the carvings and only two of the dinosaur bones is it at all helpful (but not necessary). Have you done the debt mission for Strauss getting money from Winton Holmes? I got mine back after doing that mission.
  6. They're limited. I forget how many, but not very many.
  7. Glad you sorted it out and I could help. Enjoy the challenge of completing all the challenges - some are very annoying. Wait until you get a bit higher in the Herbalist challenges. A little tip, often when it says "herbs" in the challenge it actually means "plant" - so always check by picking random things.
  8. That sucks, big time! The only advice I can offer is that the way I got the perfect panther in both of my playthroughs was to go to the very bottom of that road to the west of Shady Belle, where it meets the other road in a T-junction. Save the game now. Place 3/4 predator baits (or more if you have them) a little way up the vertical road. hen run behind the rocks to the south of the junction. I've never had to wait more than 1 min for a panther to arrive. Shoot it and skin it and you'll find out if it's 3 stars. If not, reload the save and try again.
  9. It's just one of those things, like the one-armed Vet in Valentine - it's nothing special, just a nice reference back to the early part of the game once you're in the end game.
  10. Yeah this is the most annoying of the challenges. When I finally did it I had 17, hit and got a 2, then again and got Ace, and knew I had to try and lo and behold hit another Ace. But of all the challenges this took the longest - about 3 hrs.
  11. King Arthur as in Arthur and the knights of the round table had their base in Cornwall, England at Tintagel Castle. So it's not surprising that Google sprang up a link between King Arthur and Cornwall - nothing to do with RDR2.
  12. So when you go to cook it should show you Plain Gam, Plain Beef, Plain Venison etc, then you click on that and have the option to scroll right to get to other recipes. Do you just not have that option? Or are they greyed out saying you don't have ingredients?
  13. Took me until my second playthrough to realise that you can reverse carriages by holding L1 (the slow down button) and that if you put a scope on a repeater you can switch between the scope and iron sights by pressing down on the d-pad.
  14. Buy it from any fence anywhere along with...
  15. I had no issues completing up to Herbalist 9 with John. What happens when you try and cook say Thyme Beef does that work?
  16. Only took about 5 mins the way I did, got it on my first attempt. But good luck!
  17. The key to the first one is that you can only use Dead Eye on the first of the three. Every time you activate Dead Eye it reloads your gun so you fail.
  18. For the 3 games of dominoes in a row there is an easy way to do it. Win 1 game and then simply stand up and leave any game you look like you’re going to lose. Then start a new game. As long as you don’t actually lose a game it keeps your streak going.
  19. The one thing to consider though is that if you kill anyone with a "name" then they drop a special weapon that is only available then. If you don't pick it up, you never get to have it and if you're after getting 100% in the compendium then you'll need every special gun. I've just restarted the game from 93% completion for exactly this reason.
  20. Glad it worked out for you! Happy hunting.
  21. One other thing that I remember now is that I have done The Tie That Binds encounter twice now, once during the story and then in the end game. So it might be worth visiting Rhodes at night and looking for Mr Black and Mr White by the railway tracks again, that might trigger it for you.
  22. I finally stumble across the poster on the outside wall of the south side of the Van Horn Trading Post Post Office. If that's any help. RIght next to the Services Menu.
  23. Just play the game, there's one bank job mission that you'll come across and then if you crack each safe you'll never worry about money again. I always had $2-3000 in cash
  24. Thanks! I've been looking for 2 days now. So very happy they have appeared. 7.9% left to go until 100% completion.
  25. Having said that, I have literally just stopped in to Van Horn to visit the fence and the poster is there! Problem solved.
