I don't really do Christmas, just looking forward to the food, drink and some time off work. I have a Christmas tradition that if there's a game out that I really will love playing I buy it before Christmas and not play it until Christmas day. It was supposed to have been RDR2 this years, but that plan crashed and burned 🙄. Fortunately I really like the Hitman franchise, so there's Hitman 2 to save the day.

What are your 3 favourite games of all time? It's probably difficult to narrow it down to three, was for me 1. Fallout 3 2. Skyrim 3. Far Cry 3

For me I'd say Skyrim and Fallout 3. You can't beat rinsing a Super Mutant to Cole Porter's Anything goes 😁

I have a question about bounties. Whilst I try to maintain a good honour on the scale I occasionally commit pointless, childish, but fun infractions of the law. By and large this is when I greet a stranger in the arse end of nowhere and he's rude to me. My reaction sometimes is to lasso him, rag him round a bit by riding at high speed and then releasing him. I did this the other night but someone witnessed and reported it. I rode off pretty sharpish and was well out of the red zone even before the meter started counting down. Moments later I had a $5 bounty on my head. My Arthur wasn't personally identified as the perpetrator so why I'm wondering how I ended up with a bounty?

That's probably because with a scoped weapon you don't really need dead eye.

To spin the game out longer I've been doing a lot of hunting tasks and really enjoyed the journey on acquiring the legend of the east satchel which massively improves satchel space. The last part of this task involves getting a perfect cougar pelt which turned out to be a bit of a pain for me. If you're hunting cougars head for the location on this part of the map. When you get there don't go to the illustration of the cougar on the map, or start meandering around in the woods, but keep travelling back and forth alongside the path at the side of the river. If you don't find one after a few attempts set up camp and try again. At first I hitched my horse and did this on foot and for some reason didn't encounter any cougars at all, so do this on your horse to increase your chances of finding one. If you've not encountered a cougar before they hit hard and fast, giving little notice of their presence or time to react to it. The good news is that their attack style is usually jumping at you in attempt to rip off your face, running off and coming straight back for another go at you. This gives you time ready your weapon and dead eye that beast. I found that there were more opportunities to find them in the mornings too. Finally, I personally didn't bother with predator bait which I find to be pretty ineffective in all circumstances.

I've given up playing online until Rs see sense and bring in passive play or private invite only lobbies. For those of us that want to build our characters, hunt, fish etc the griefers are making life very difficult. Just getting from a to b is a tedious effort when cretins are constantly rinsing you. Yesterday I messaged a griefer and politely asked him why he was trying to stop me getting on with my game. He replied by calling me a snowflake and saying that it was part of the game. I've submitted feedback to Rs and from what I've seen on the net lots of others are really annoyed about this. They'd have to be pretty dumb to not sort this problem out. Another thing I've noticed is how the honour system doesn't reflect the behaviour of posses. I was looking to join a honourable posse the other day and when I tracked them down in Blackwater I found them knifing NPCs. I'm done with it until / unless they sort out these morons who are spoiling the game for everyone else.
