You see a game Always is some Kind of a compromise or you loose to many Players and the game dies. So you cant stand getting shot once,? Then you missed the salt Argument or didnt read my text proper. Believe me, I played as a playtester for more then 5 years at a huge Gamecompany (yes the big Japananese one). Well that was back in the 90´s. I can tell you, the mechnism Always is the same. You Play to get goodies. Thats the hole mechnism behind it. No Godies that you can fell as such and the game dies (thats what Level 100+ currently somehow face in RDR) The goodie is only worth something if you have to do something for it. As harder it gets the better the Godi tastes in the end. No Risk no tastefull goodie. But as said, will leave you your opinion.

Can ypu give just 1 example where you faced a bullying Griefer in RDR that you couldnt stopp with parley Right away. You Sound to me like ist not the kill that annoys you ist the Ego loose that you fear. Let me say, there is no Problem in getting killed. Ist part of the game. I like to be killed in special ways and in a way I rember this than to kill someone just again with another explosive head shot. That is boring as well. In other words, if you look back in 10 years and a friend asks you, well you played RDR how was it. What willl you remeber? The 1000 deers you shoot and transported to the butcher without any Risk or the 1 time you had to fight your way through, survive the Problem and sell it off then for the Dollars. I bet you know what you will remeeber and that is what makes a game good or boring. How ever, have your opinion I have mine.

Well actually you can be totaly in silence alreaddy today. You just fast travel to the other side of the map. As the System tries to spawn new Players together with alreaddy existing ones on the map. So you have, at the far end, a lot of silence to hunt, fish and so on. In earlier days, before this new sight System, it had more tension as everyone was on the map vissible. So you had to plan good Hunting routes and value when to go to the butcher or to Citys and when not. This changed alreaddy with the new sight system. I think all the next system will do is, allow, defensive mode Players, to get minimal dammage (its important they still get small damage). So they then can value, do I react (and automaticly move to offensive therefore) or do I ignore, and stay passiv. so I bet there is many guys out there who will pull the Colt and fire back and there goes the defensive mode. Finaly the real issue is, and most are not aware as never question what gives them the kick, the Dollars eraned or the Risk survived to earn the Dollars (I am sure ist the last), All of that Risk is the salt in the soup if you know what I mean with that expression. No salt, you play ESO then to much salt you Play Dayz (from the priciple) and no salt as well as to much will annoy everyone on the long term.

Thanks @DNMNetTech and I am fully aware of that. I think this leads to the following:

Oh give me a rest please. The chances to die in the old West on being sick, getting a Cold, being killed by annimals, having an accident and so on surly was much higher then here ingame. are you saying that as they didnt shoot everyone in Valentine in real, this shouldnt be possible in the Game too? If so, you should die after a snake Byte and would need to start at Level 0 (or better buy the game new) same if you ride to Long through the rain, you should become sick and die and so on. But then we speak About a Survival Game Format, and not an Arkade shoter like RDR. So said so, it is a Game. A Game , no real live. And a Gamer Needs Challenges also in the Free roam and the NPCs and NPC Gangs are no challenge at all!!! For your Griefing argument (if any at all). Why dont you play solo then? Its possibly more interesting or, no disturbment. Of course no one else will see your efforts so thats only possible in an PVP Game. And that is what triggerd all PVP Gamers. Otherwise, if you just want to Show but no skill comparsement between Players you Need a Game like Sims. Honestly I played ESO for Maybe 4 or 5 Hours in total, before I got superbored. I dont see the sense in any Game running around without a real Risk or to go following a misison dot the 1000´st time. So you say, as R* says there building in anti Griefer mechnism, there must be Griefers? Nope. They only try to Keep the Farm guys sticked to the Game by trying to implement some Kind of a PVE Lobby with a PVP Lobby mix (first who tries this by the way). I wonder if that will work as expected by you and think it will not. It gives the low Levels the chancce to Grind up to higher Levels. As soon as they shot first, they are attackable. Same duing missions. So if you dont want to hunt forever you will Need to face the PVP Element without winching. So sooner or later everyone will shot first or stopp gaming due to getting bored. Promissed. So back to your arguement, whoch would mean too, as they build in anti Hacking mechnanism, there must be plenty of Hackers. So is the Game flooded with Hackers? No. Same is valid for Griefers. This Argument is so what of sensless really. You parley after 1 shot with a hole Gang and are in peace and silence then but still believe being Griefed due to a shot you caught to keep Hunting somehow intersting. Its the wrong Game for you then. If this turns to ESO wild West, I am gone to another Player "VERSUS" Player game 100%

...in a PVP game and thats the Point! So if you fish or hunt in a PVP game, you should expect to be shot and plan accordingly (in fact thats half of the fun) otherwise think about playing a farm sim. Also there is a parley function and you can esaily change the lobby. There is no sense complaining About other Players at all, as all they do is playing the game in their own way. You wouldnt like me complain at Rockstar that to many People just hunt and dont do PVP and that therefore they should be targeted, banned or what ever! The Thing is, a Player Always does what the game allows. If the game would allow to jump from the highest hill and therefore earn 10 Gold a day, nearly everyone would only jump from hills. So actually there is no sense complain About Players, instead complain About game mechanics, thats more sensefull, Before you do so, as said this is a PVP game and instead of other games like Dayz or Scum where you start with Zero after being killed once, here you dont loose a thing, and thats part of the Problem, because you can feel the success only if you had some challenge.

I like it when I do serious Damage with one shot, so my favorite FR outfit (and mainly use it in Modis too, even thats not always wise). Main: Bolt Action Second: Pump gun or Carcano (depends on the situation and plan). Hands: 2 short Barrel Shot guns. Cards: PIB, NWO, Strange Medizin, and that other Energy power up Card).

You will get more assasination attempts as the System will choose you more often as victime due to your red status (which is good)! I have between 1 and 3 an evening (being super red due to not let get others away if they shot me or due to following the day tasks advises) 🙂 how ever, I have 1 or 3 where I am the victim an evening and ist great fun. I mostly wait to give them the chance to catch up and ensure they come. I then search a nice place and await them. I have one of that attempts on Video. You can see on my YT channel (at About me) if you want or interested. I love doing it that way. Do yourself the favor and accept being chased by answering the attack appropirated instead of speeding to St. Denis or TW as you could win the thing therefore easy but be bored again. ALso it needs this for the other Players, as otherwisde no one will ever start to follow the Mission if they all realise everyone just rides off. As said great fun so being not honorable at all and being red pays out. I just wonder what happens after the update, as an Lv 110 I choose to wait always for the first shot (not in an assasination Mission of Course) before I chase them but finaly this will mean in the future I stay blue and dont get this missions again until I turn bad and start to kill Players first?

So does this mean you overcame the Griefer understanding as well? Honestly, there is no Griefing in RDR2 at all! Wherever a Possi would become annoying you tkae the opertunity to practise or you parley them off, job done. Given there is no real loss (the loss of the 3 Corps are adding to your joy of the game in the Long term, I explain in a second why), it even doesent hurt realy. Now also I fail completly to follow the anger it produces at some Players if they get shot while hunting or fishing. For my understanding thats absolutly good that this things can and will happen. If you couldnt be harmed while doing so, why doing it at all then? If there is no Risk hunting annimals and transporting them succesfully to the butcher then where is the sense in asking you to do so. You instead could leave the hole matter of and teleport any shot animal automaticly seperated in meet and pelts to the Players account. How boring would that be. RDR is no Hunting or farming sim. Ist a PVP game and the risk and loss is exaclty what every player needs to feel tension and also to feel good if successfull. Like every game, the way is the objective not to master the game. We only play to experience the way, to get better and master the challenge. Believe me, the moment will come where you welcome any atack as a refreshing influence during the stamdardized boring hunting an crafting exercises. So let me please you all, stopp complayn about Griefers and think About the importance of PVP is to give you all a good and tensioned game. At the high Level it can get quiet boring and you archieve the Levels fast here. Remember the nice an difficult game you faced in the first 30 Levels. Sometimes I think it maybe would be better to reset my account to Level 0 to experience a bigger challenge again. Maybe somewhen we will be allowed 2 characters?

I actually believed the Turkmene (is that the right Name?) is a super horse. What makes the Fox Trotter better? Has it more Speed and power? I have the Arabian too but ist such a frightend one, that, plus my riding skills, was a Nightmare. I love riding off road on high Speed. That maybe impacted my experience a bit.

Guess ist the same mechanism as not displaying other things like natives or allowing topless women. In short, no Company wants to raise the risk for an possible "official" complainment case ruining the brand.

I play RDR online only if that is what you mean, as I cant stand PC KI only in games. I need human brain enemys to feel some challenge. I look back to a long game history and ultima was part of it but thats the stoneage in gaming and I think thats not what you ment? English is not my mother tongue. I played plenty of games and this includes survival games like Dayz or Scum. I name them as there based on the loose ellement. So if you succeed with something you can be proud or better the reward effect works better so you enjoy it much more then having the same done in a minute and with no Risk at all. So the big difference is, you loose something there (actually to much) but in RDR you loose nothing. The difference is. If you loose nothing, you act completly different. You are fearless and storm onto enemys with no real need for tactics or thinking about your doings. This + the autoaim, leeds to lengthy shoot outs where Player wave after player wave rides against each other. So I really would prefer to loose more then just some ego points if shot. This would give the game much more sense. Also some harder missions (possibly marked in red instead of orange) and some smarter NPC´s would be good. Killing a Bandit camp means standing still, blasting out headshot after headshot till everyone is done. Thats not challenging at all.

Honestly? Ist a bit difficult as the coin has two sides. I enjoyed getting the Dynamite arrows at Level 81 intstead of 93 due to a sell out. I thought ist great, I now can disturb carriage missions with an arrow, stopp a bunch of riders or what ever. The opposite of the coin is, when you start RDR2 you enjoy a game full of tension. You need to find your way through and respect other Bleeps on the map as serious risk or at least something to hav an eye on. In the middle of your player carrer you begin to see this different, until you are able to do what you want with Level 93 upwords (latest). So in a nutshell, it has ist Moments to sneak through the world as a low Level and the game is a different experience. So for my opinion the grinding goes to fast, the risk is therefore shrinking rapidly and steals a lot of the really good moments you will rember later. All of that surly is also related to the "0 loss" understandign of R* when you get killed. No loss = no Risk, so it gets a bit slow then. My 2 Cents.

2 things I can add here. you might rest a long time ingame without eating, running around and similar, or even by doing so, to loose waight, but before you log off, ensure to do something that saves your status, like changing the Lobby, so it is ensured the work was recognised. Do this Always when you realised the effekt of loosing waight, to ensure it is kept. The second thing is, if you play a female charakter you never gonna gain visual waight. You always stay slim (if you choosen this while creating your charakter). At the same time you have the system telling you your fat in red with an arrow pointing right to the sky. So the mechaniks use the status but ist not vissible for females.
