I think this is a common problem, and I think it's just that sometimes there aren't enough possible camp locations in a particular area for everyone at once, as it affects me mostly in areas with a lot of through-traffic and a higher online population (e.g The Heartlands, Great Plains). However, if I go for a two day hunting trip up at Brandywine Drop, camp set-up is immediate as it's so remote, so much so that if I don't like the area it drops in Roanoke, I just change camp to another region, then change back again to get another Roanoke camp location, and repeat this until I get the one I prefer.

On the subject of daily challenges, one of today's (Friday Sept 27) was to supply Cripps with 6 large carcasses. Easy enough I suppose but for some reason it wouldn't accept them en-masse from my hunting wagon, (Cripps accepted them but they didn't count towards the daily challenge total). I had to do it in ones & twos with my horse.

I've also had the old shirtless skinny guy show up when I was camped near Emerald. He asked (weirdly) for 'scorched meat', but I accidentally waved a rifle in his face and he got up and ran off shouting "Why?!?...Why!!?...".

I was led by a dog to the ruined house in Bolger Glade (the one where you can find something hidden in the chimney). Only there wasn't anything in the chimney, instead, lying on the ground was a very dead old woman, with similar skin and eyes to what other people are reporting . No option to search the body. The dog disappeared. At the time I was just disappointed that I didn't find anything of value but now i wish I'd taken a screenshot.

My character is extremely old and I imagine him to be somewhat incontinent so I named him "Rusty Trickles". In keeping with that theme I named his 5 horses: "Brown Flo" (Fem Chestnut Arabian) "Pebbledasher" (Fem Leopard Appaloosa) "Dahria" (Fem Andalucian Warhorse) "Trots" (Fem M Foxtrotter) "Giant Log" (Male Shire)
