Every so often when I start a new file, a bug enacts with it that don't let me win anything when someone/something has a hold of me. Like when the train conductor has me in a headlock and when Tommy has me in a headlock for example, the game won't let me fight my way out of it and I lose. I have to just keep losing until the game gives me the option to skip the checkpoint. It really takes away a lot of the enjoyment of the game for me. It even happens when an animal attacks me like a wolf or cougar. If they get on top of me, I'm screwed. I don't know what to do about this. I'm on a PS5, but the game was doing this on my PS4 as well. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. There are other bugs that don't affect the gameplay like this, but this one is a really big problem for me in my eyes.

What I do to break a horse is pull back on the left thumb stick and just wiggle it back and forth. And as soon as the horse is broken I call my other horse over and put my saddle on the new horse. That gives you bonding level one and the horse is now yours permanently. So in doing that, you can break and keep any and every horse in the game. Just remember to stable your horses if you already have 2 out and are wanting to break and keep another one. If you don't you'll lose one of your previously gotten horses. It's how I lost the red chestnut Arabian. Luckily I still had the white Arabian.

Is there any way to finish Herbalist #9 as Arthur? There's a last few plants that are down in New Austin, but unless I take a lightning ride into the area and just hope I can get them before I'm killed, I can't think of a way to get those last few plants. The same goes for indigenous animals like the armadillo. But I'm more interested in the plants at the moment.

I don’t know what happened, but my eagle talisman has vanished from my inventory. Where it went, I have no clue. The only talismans I have now are the bison horn and the boar tusk. I’m at a loss. Any ideas?

Need help for first playthrougj
The Blackangel replied to DARKS1DE85's question in Questions & Answers
Did you walk up to John under the tree after you went fishing with Jack, or did you just go to where the wagon is? If you just went to the wagon, then you went to the wrong place. Talk to John again, then head out to the wagon. If Sean is there shooting at bottles, then you're on. if not, then you've missed something. You can try reloading to a previous save, and steer clear of Abigail as far as you can. But I would try talking to John first, if he's there in camp. If not, then something is amiss. You could try sleeping as that sometimes resets a lot of stuff, like camp chores. You never know it may bring John out of hiding. -
Well, well, well... Here we are in 2023

I'm a bit burnt out myself. I've played and replayed RDR2 so many times, that there's not a lot left to do. At least nothing that is really intriguing to me. Since then I've been back to the games I play normally which are from the N64 era and back. I still say the best system ever created was the NES. But I do enjoy some of the newer stuff as well. -
Are you sure you’re at the right camp? It can be a massive pain in the ass to get sometimes. If it’s not in there then you’re most likely facing a glitch. You could try shutting down and restarting your game. I don’t know what platform you game on, but if you’re sure you haven’t already gotten it, then it’s probably a weird glitch. Are you playing the special or ultimate version? That may be an issue. I don’t know what all the things are bonus’s and what aren’t. Kean probably knows more than I do.

How Many Platforms Do You Own RDR2 On?
The Blackangel replied to BigPete7978's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I have it on PS4 (but play on PS5) and Xbox One. I have the Ultimate edition, because I wanted the free content that came with it. I don't play on Xbox, because I'm not the biggest fan of the system. I only have one for a couple exclusives. Other than that, I don't play on it. -
This is one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time.

Have you found the flourolite or ammolite? Have you solved the statue puzzle? Have you met the devil yet? Have you collected the female fertility statue, or the shrunken head? Have you caught all the legendary fish or hunted the legendary animals? Which stranger missions have you completed? How many challenges have you completed? Did you break any wild horses? Did you collect all the hides Pearson needs or that the trapper wants? Did you play through to the epilogue? There are tons of things to do in the game, that you can do at any time with a handful of exceptions. For example, some of the legendary animals are in New Austin, so Arthur’s out of luck for getting them. You have to do that with John. If it doesn’t involve you going to New Austin, you’re free to roam and do whatever you want.

I found this video on YouTube. It may help you out.

It sounds like it’s not the game file, but your PS4 instead. Your console could be shot. For example, I put a new stereo in my car, but the CD player quit working within a week. Now it won’t even take CD’s. Everything else works. Either way I need to replace it. All too often electronics of this nature do this. Everything seems good to go, but one bit of data later, you see how jacked it really is. So it seems to me that you’re just going to have to bite the bullet, and get a new system.

RDR2 graphical and sound and everything bug in prologue
The Blackangel replied to Te0st's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
You should try uninstalling your mods. That is likely the problem. It sounds like it's in a big conflict with the game and the edits. I assume you're playing on PC? you might try uninstalling the game entirely, and reinstalling it. It really sounds like a coding conflict to me. I play on PS5, and don't bother with any mods. If you continue to have issues, you may have to switch to another platform to play the game, and forgo any mods. -
You definitely got a junk version of the game. You're probably going to have to go to the Rockstar website and rebuy the game directly from them. To sum up, Steam screwed you.

Animal Compendium is not fully Updating
The Blackangel replied to WillyMac65's question in Questions & Answers
Have you killed it, or just seen it? You'll need to do it all before the compendium will update the animal. If you're saying that you've already done all that, it could easily be a glitch. RDR2 is full of them. So what you may need to do is use your binoculars and both study and track it. Then kill and skin it. I can't guarantee that it will fix your problem, but it can't hurt to try. Good luck. -
aim assist not working on xbox series x
The Blackangel replied to black_horse07's question in Questions & Answers
Have you been able to fire? If you can't fire the gun you're using, try pressing the button to automatically fire. Then your aim assist should be working. you can also go into the settings and make sure it hasn't been turned off for whatever reason. You can also see if you get the aim assist with your bow. If all of that checks out, you may have to start all over with a new game file. You're not going to be able to do much without a gun in this game. -
I don't know how many people do this, and it's kinda a "captain obvious" type of thing. But I thought it may come in handy for anyone having an issue with either of these. If anyone needs money, the best thing I have found is to head over around Emerald Ranch, from Heartland Overflow, and down almost to the water mill in Dewberry Creek. Hunt deer and anything else that you can for perfect hides. Trust me they're all over. Collect as many as you feel like, and head into town. Go to the butcher and sell him all your hides. You can easily bring in $200 - $300 every time. If you're hunting predators (cougars, wolves, panthers, etc.) lay your bait then climb up on top of a boulder. You can lure the animal in, but from top of a boulder they're completely unable to reach you. Until I figured this one out, I was always going nuts trying to get a cougar.

Reasons for getting into it or not should come from your own preferred play style. Do you prefer to play online games, or stick to playing a single player version? If you're all in for online gaming, then I say give it a shot. You may like it you may not. You won't know if you don't try it. For me though, I hate online gaming. I've tried to get into it at least 50 times and in just as many games. I've hated it every time. So if you're a fan of online gaming, give it an opportunity. If it's what you really enjoy, then keep with it. If it fails to impress you, then maybe story mode is better for you.

Why am I not able to play the game I paid for?!
The Blackangel replied to Letnyum's question in Questions & Answers
It sounds like there’s a problem with your computer. The file may have gotten corrupted at some point, but you saying you uninstalled and reinstalled makes me wonder if it’s a physical issue with your hard drive. If you can, I would suggest taking it to geek squad and having them look at it. If they come up with nothing then you may be SOL for playing it on PC. You may have to start playing it on a console. Then again, if they find something, you’ll have your answers. I’m sure there’s people here who know more than I do, especially when it comes to PC gaming, as I’m a console gamer. All I can really tell you is good luck and I hope you get your issue fixed. -
In the swamp shack that’s right on the Lannahechee river there’s a pack of premium cigarettes on the table. When I use my eagle eye, they flash just like anything else I can pick up. Yet no matter where I move or how I move, I never get a notification to pick them up. Are they like the lock box in the cabinet at Radley’s house, is it a glitch, or am I missing something?

I got the cats eye trinket in Chapter 2. You're probably going to the wrong island. Are you going to the small island that is further south than any of the others? That's where you'll find it.

I found this video on YouTube, and while it doesn't actually solve the mystery, it does raise some good points about the whole thing.

That's what I was afraid of.

This is one that has been bugging me since I started playing the game. I have found the meteorite in the house and the crash site. So I have those two. But it says I have 2 out of 3 when I see it in my satchel. I have no idea where the third one is. I've heard that you have to do something in GTA to be able to get it, but haven't found anything online that confirms anything about that either way. I've been all over the area where it hit, but can't find anything. If it is something that you have to get from GTA, I'm just going to have to be happy with 2 of them, as I'm not a fan of the GTA series.

Does anyone know/remember what their actual first release was? The earliest I can remember seeing them is Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. I think they also did Conker's Bad Fur Day, but I may be wrong on that. I would have to grab my N64 games to be sure about that. Aside from a handful of games (obviously RDR2) I'm a classic gamer and don't play much past the N64 era. But to get back to topic, is DKC their first game? Considering the graphics and the era, they're pretty advanced in their animation. But if someone can help me out I would appreciate it. I don't want to google it, because I'm also hoping to get some opinions here as well.
