  1. Despite us playing on different platforms, I have a similar situation that happens to me. When I need/want to use a gun, often times Arthur just lifts it up with it pointing up, like he is no longer drawing down on something. I have to use different commands to get him to actually fire his weapon so that I can regain control of it. Also at random times he won't zero in on an animal that I'm trying to shoot. But for your issue, can you talk to the people in camp? You could try that. If it still doesn't work you may need to end up taking more drastic measures, like reinstalling the game. I don't game much on PC, so that may be unreasonable. I'm sure there's someone here that is much more knowledgeable about PC gaming than I am.
  2. I never had an issue. I just run and tackle him then proceed to beat the hell out of him. You can't use weapons, but that doesn't mean you have no alternative.
  3. It's no different than any other horse. I play on PS5, and all I have to do is mount then wiggle the left stick back and forth while pulling it back. It doesn't matter what breed of horse it is. So I assume you're doing something different than you did with the white and red chestnut Arabians.
  4. I've made that mistake. I accidentally sold a card when I began playing a couple years ago. it's like animals, plants and anything else that can be shown in the compendium. Just because you have discovered it doesn't mean you're in possession of it. You can pick all the parasol mushrooms you find, but you can then use them or discard them (intentionally or unintentionally) and it will still be in your compendium. The compendium only shows you want you have discovered, not what you possess. If you go to your satchel and go to the documents tab, you will see all different card collections listed. Just look at them and they will tell you what cards you currently have. It will also tell you how many of each card you have. If there's no number next to it, that just means you're only holding one of the card in question.
  5. Are you sure you didn't already mail them? The cards will still be in your compendium, but you won't be able to mail them a second time. Did you use any cheat codes while collecting? You can't save if a cheat is turned on. Any progress you make is lost, and sometimes they can bug out and deny you a few things. Something that I have to deal with, (no cheats enabled here) is sometimes when I get into a gun fight (we'll say Lemoyne Raiders) I can draw my gun, but the game won't let me aim it. I can neither aim or fire it. So I have to ride away as fast as I can, and then figure out WTF is going on. I don't know how many times I have died due to this stupid BS. Another thing that has happened to me, in chapter one when you fight the conductor on the train, I wasn't able to hit him back to get out of his grasp. The game simply wouldn't let me. So I eventually had to select the skip mission option and stop the train that way. So the game glitches all the time, but I haven't encountered an issues that kept me from doing something that's a part of a stranger mission. I would suggest you start a new file, but with all the progress that you have made, I can't in good conscience suggest that.
  6. Have you tried his booth in St Denis? It sounds like a glitch to me, but if he's not in St Denis either, then you may have lost him for good. I got attacked by a grizzly while I was doing business with him, and he just stood there watching. I haven't seen any animals attack him and I've been playing and replaying the game for several years now. It could just be a fluke. If it persists then you may have to go back and start a whole new game. Or if you have an earlier save file where you won't lose much I would switch to that one. What platform are you playing on?
  7. If I could kill him myself I would have done it long ago. I would love to have witnessed him being hung in Strawberry, but unfortunately, that doesn't happen.😢
  8. Probably because online gaming is constantly having to evolve, so the company has to cut a few corners here and there to keep it running as smooth as possible. They may have made the graphics a little less realistic in exchange for a faster frame rate. Or it could be on your end, depending on hat kind of monitor/TV you're using. it could be any one of a hundred things, or none of those hundred things. Without a direct comment from Rockstar, you're probably not going to be able to do much about it.
  9. That's a tough one. Are you going for 100% completion? If you are, then I would just go about it challenge by challenge. Meaning I would wait to craft something that isn't particularly needed until a challenge says to do it. Once you finish that set, then worry about crafting for your own reasons. Some things are exceptions like cover scent, bait, arrows and firearm ammunition. Small stuff, go ahead and have at it. But big stuff, I would recommend holding off for just a bit.
  10. You can save, then try turning on a cheat, but once you turn it on, you will no longer be able to save until you restart the game. So any progress you make after a cheat is turned on is completely moot, as when you restart, that progress no longer exists.
  11. It may be the Xbox itself. I have it on PS4 and Xbox One, and found that (in my opinion) it plays much better on the PS4. I found it a lot less glitchy and a smoother play.
  12. You mention that you lost your saddle with the horse. Are you sure it ran off and wasn't killed with you instead? That is unfortunately often going to happen. If the horse was killed, you will be able to find your saddle, but the horse will be gone for good. The best I can give you is to save often and keep with your horse to build up your bond with it.
  13. Don't hold your breath. Rockstar is currently putting all their focus on GTA6. If there's a PS5 release of RDR, it will most likely end up being an RDR3 game. I'm not a prophet, but I confidently believe that it will be a long time before they put much work in on the Red Dead Redemption series as far as re-releases and sequels go.
  14. The yellow swirls are real. You will see them on things like dinosaur bones, alligator nests, dream catchers, and random secrets. Your eagle eye (dead eye if you have a weapon drawn) will show you the yellow sparkles anytime there is something of interest nearby. Another is the whiskey tree in The Heartlands will sparkle on one of the swinging bottles to show you which one is holding a gold nugget. The yellow sparkles are all over the map, showing you all sorts of nifty little secrets. It's kinda like the white sparkles showing you all the nearby plants that you can pick.
  15. It's in the same boat as Alaskan Sage and American Sage. It's just listed as sage after you've picked it. In your compendium it will show up as 2 different plants, but when you go to use it for crafting, they are the same thing.
  16. I hate online gaming, and always play single player. It's far from dead.
  17. I have almost all the cheat codes (not that I use them much) and I can't get them to work. Unless I'm Missing something. For example I tried to enact the code that removes all bounties and wanted levels from you (you want everyone to go away), so I could ride around New Austin. But as soon as I exit the menu, it turns off. I go back in and turn it on again, and it does the same thing. I can't get it to stay on no matter what. Even if I don't want to go into New Austin, it still doesn't work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Help?
  18. You can actually get it in chapter 4. Once you finish the Country Pursuits mission, the legendary bull gator is available. But you have to have the vintage civil war handcuffs. You get those from mailing your first set of cigarette cards to Phineas Ramsbottom. The easiest to get is the Fauna set, and quite frankly the only one I can think of that you can get as Arthur. Unless you're lucky enough to get the ones you need to complete other sets through packs of cigarettes. But I prefer not to leave it to chance for the handcuffs, so I gather all the Fauna cards for that, and worry about the other sets later.
  19. I was under the impression the fer-de-lance was only in New Austin. I feel like an idiot now, but at least I haven't missed the chance to get it.
  20. I'm an idiot for this, but it may be a reason for you. I had the same issue with sound, despite using a PS4 to play. The reason was because somehow my TV had gotten muted. I didn't even know it. I spent almost a day trying to figure out what went wrong, and finally went to watch Netflix, after getting more than angry. The sound wasn't playing on that either. The volume and mute keys are on the side of my remote, and I accidentally hit the mute button when I squeezed it in anger, and the sound came on. I went back to the game and the sound was on. I felt like a complete ass and a prize idiot. So you may be having the same issue.
  21. Does anyone have a good way to get the boas in Guarma? Every single tip I found said to go right below the E on the map and boas should respawn there often. I had the Rainbow and Sunglow boas from other areas, but the Red boa kept refusing to spawn. Actually in that area under the E, snakes in general didn't spawn. It took me 2 days before I finally got it. But I need a better way to get them. It was driving me absolutely insane. I had already gotten all 3 macaws and the booby. But I wanted all seven of the exclusive Guarma animals. And that one snake was giving me 🖕 and not spawning anywhere.
  22. When you finally do get the chance to kill it, I highly suggest using explosive ammo, preferably from a rifle instead of a repeater. The thing is huge and lightning fast. I haven't found any other way to kill it. Also make sure you do it from a bit of a distance and DO NOT use your scope. Use open sights.
  23. If we're talking trinkets, it looks like the one you're missing is the lions paw trinket. you need to find the circus train and do that stranger mission to get it. It's south east of Emerald Station not too far south of Aberdeen Farm.
  24. It's done that way to make the cheats more of a challenge to unlock. I unlock all the ones I have, but don't use them since you can't save with one engaged.
  25. It's a glitch. I have had to deal with it a million times. The best way to avoid it is to wear the default outfit and not make any changes to it, with the exception of talismans. In doing that, typically the only thing anyone will comment on is new guns you're carrying.
