  1. I really wouldn't bother trying to get HDR working. It really is broken. It is actually a fake implementation. Not really HDR at all. I saw a guy analyze it and white levels for example only have 100 nits. With HDR, white should be around 1000 nits! So yeah, keep HDR off until R* decide to stop bullshitting 10 million people and implement actual working HDR.
  2. By your logic then, all my games on PS4 should suffer from the same problems. Washed out HDR, blurriness, etc. Right? Only, this is not the case at all! RDR2 is the ONLY game on my setup that is suffering from broken HDR and awful checkerboard rendering from a 1080p source resulting in a blurry muddy image! This is simply unacceptable. And it is worrying that the game shipped in this state. After 8 years in development. It would be naive to think they would simply patch these problems out. They are pretty significant problems.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost R* more than 300M to make the game.
  4. Incorrect. Sharpness is not dependant on resolution.
  5. You can't manually save whilst in the middle of an active quest.
  6. This issue with how fuzzy RDR2 look on PS4 Pro has nothing to do with what TV you are using. It is a poorly implemented rendering technique. Period. I won't deny that this is the best looking game ever made...on a platform that shows it as it is intended, being XBOX ONE X at 4K native resolution. But, on PS4 Pro, it is one of the shittiest looking games in recent memory as rendering goes. When you have games like God Of War, Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider etc., all looking way sharper and clearer than RDR2, you know that something is wrong! There is even a Sharpening slider in the game settings, but it fails to achieve any meaningful result even on the highest setting. And as for HDR, it is completely broken. It does exactly the opposite of what HDR is supposed to do. However, this is also not the cause of the problem because even with HDR turned OFF, the game still looks blurry and muddy.
