I just started this one last night and am getting shot all to hell when I try and steal the oil wagon-what is the best way to do this mission? I’ve tried killing the guard at the front of the entrance with the bow to try and be sneaky but that didn’t work. Also, in one of the many times I tried it, I waited too long and the driver got on the front seat and started off with it-I did kill him and got it back to camp, but didn’t get it there in time to get the gold-in a situation like that, when does the timer start?

@Truth so for the ones the fence crafts, they are automatically applied and I don’t have to equip them like I would have to do for talismans?

For the trinkets I have the fence craft after killing a legendary animal, are they automatically applied? Or do I need to manually equip them? Thanks 😀

@Kormath and doing that would allow me to accomplish my goal and allow me to replay as much as needed with all my guns and supplies to try and get golds? I’m a little confused by what you mean about not overwriting previous saves till I run out of room-could you please clarify?

@Truth I’ll check that out when I get home-I guess I just assumed that overwriting it deleted the manual save-if not, that’s great news!! 😀 then I can continue trying for gold medals

@Truth I do make a manual save before starting a mission-the issue is when I complete it, I don’t know if I hit the requirements for gold( and I have a guide so I know what they are before starting the mission)-so with auto save on, if I chose to overwrite the auto save and don’t get gold, then I screw myself-if I turn off autosave, would I be able to replay the missions to get gold as often as needed, with all the guns and supplies I have acquired up till then?

@Hammer would doing that allow me to do missions how I want tho to get golds how i am trying to?

@Limey77 is there a way to tell if you get the gold before choosing to overwrite the auto save with the manual save? I did the mission where I broke Micah out of jail and thought i got the requirements met so when it asked to overwrite the autosave with the manual one I did before starting it I chose yes. I ended up not getting the gold so now if i want to try again I have to go thru it with the basic loadout. Do you know if there is a way to if you meet the gold requirements before having to choose to overwrite or not? I’d prefer obviously to do missions with the guns and supplies I’ve acquired up to that point -and what I mean by meeting the requirements is going to a screen where I can see if I met them-I got a strategy guide so I’ll know what the requirements for each is before starting it

@Foxtrot I do both of those things-what I mean tho is that I wasn’t notified if I completed the gold requirements before getting the option to overwrite the auto save-that’s why I’m wondering if turning off auto save completely will alleviate this happening in the future, and have to do the replay with very basic loadout-I’m trying to get the 70 gold medals and am on a good pace (I’m at 12 golds and nit even thru chap 2 yet)

I’m wondering if it would hellp or not in getting gold medals if I turned off auto save? I woujd think it woujd, but want to make sure I do it right and don’t lose any progress ( I’m a little over halfway into chapter 2 and already have 12 golds as well as several side mission items complete ) any advice would be great 😀

@Kormath yes it takes a bit more effort, but to me it’s worth it to have the upgraded weapons and ammo by doing it that way, rather than replaying with just a standard loadout

@bluntTR4P so you have already beaten the game? I’m trying to get everything in first shot (including gold medals), as well as getting everything else possible to get as close to 100 percent completion as I can

@Kormath wow that’s impressive!! 😀 sounds like you and I are playing it about as completely opposite as possible!! I’m also trying to get gold medals along the way, which halts mission progress as well (sometimes more than I would like )

@Kormaththanks 😀 I was just trying to figure out the easiest weapon to use to get the 15 headshots to work towards the gold medal for that mission

What’s the best weapon to use to get the 15 headshots? I was thinking varmit rifle bit idk how well that would work in the beginning with the lawmen and townspeople so close-any advice woujd be appreciated 😀

@Kormathok, I tried that, and didn’t get the screen for the brightness setting but I did have to redo the aiming adjustments I had set up previously, so I assume that means I cleared it successfully? But when I went to try and find the book it stiii wasn’t there 😥 however when I checked my satchel, I have 6 books in it-do you remember what the name of the book he waves is? Maybe I already have it😀
