Ok thanks for clarifying-so do you have auto save turned off then to do this?

After you complete a mission you can pause the game and go down to either progress or story and pick the chapter you are on or have finished and hit square and that will show you the requirements to get a gold medal for each mission

Does anyone else do this to try and get golds once you get better weapons, higher dead-eye, etc? If so do you create a manual save for each mission or just one save slot and overwrite it? I’m looking for the most efficient way to keep all my weapons, etc to give me the best chance to get golds, and reload that save rather than choosing the option to retry mission through the process option when I hit pause thanks in advance

So to make sure I understand correctly you have a save for each mission in a separate slot when you do a manual save? I had been doing just one manual save and overwriting it but I don’t know if that would work to get golds or not-could you please clarify which way you do it?

And that allows you to keep your weapons, stats, etc? Do u have a separate save for each one, or do you just overwrite and have one save file after you get gold? It would be nice to have dead eye when using the bow in the deer hunting mission in the bieginnung of the game as an example

Is there a way to save the guns and attiributres I acquire when I want to replay missions to try and get gold medals? Or am I stuck with the general weapons I got the first play through?

Ok-and from what I can tell it isn’t required to have it as part of 100 percent completion

I tried to do this mission last night and accidentally shot the dr-I’m assuming I only get 1 shot to do this mission-is if a big deal if I didn’t get the scihofiekd during this? Is thee a chance to get it later on?

That won’t mess up me going thru the main storyline will it? And by that rationale, for every gold medal I get, I’ll hsve to create a save? Or would I be able to overwrite the current save so I don’t have a lot of saves taking up space?

How do I keep a gold medal once I get one? I got one and when I went back to replay another mission it went back to the medal I originally got on that mission which was silver. Any help or advice on making sure I keep credit for doing them would be much appreciated

Is it just me or is getting the 2’nd deer killed successfully in this mission pretty tough? For those that have done it successfully could you tell me what you did?

I’m trying to decide if I want to go for gold medals on first playthrough or Walt till after the game is completed to do so-what’s everyone’s recommendation on this?

Thank you for your reply:) what I am curious about is if I go back and replay the missions to get gold after completing the storyline, what weapons will I be able to use and will my health, dead eye, etc carry over from what they are at end of storyline into the replays?

Does anyone know if, after finishing the story, i would go back and replay missions for gold medals if i would keep whatever guns, stamina, etc, i would have at the end of the storyline? If not, is there something i can do in the first playthrough, or any other way, to make this happen? i
