Rdr2 graphics blurry PS4 Pro

I don't think you're seeing this through the right light, allow me to illuminate, as to scoff a this as "meh, first world problems" is missing the point. 

With HDR they aren't delivering what's being advertised, what we bought is not what they claim to have sold us. 

If you bought a car with a sunroof, and when you drove it out of the lot and realized there's no sunroof, are you just going to chuckle to yourself: "oh well, that's what I get for buying something expensive and expecting to get what I paid for, first world problems".

No, of course you wouldn't. Don't act like it's unreasonable to expect to get what you were sold, what you bought. I bought a game with HDR support. Turns out it has zero HDR support. ie. no Sunroof. Not half a sunroof, not a malfunctioning sunroof, not a tinted, altered, or modified sunroof, NO SUNROOF. 

4k being blurry, well that's more open-ended because there's only so much power in a PS4 Pro. 4 TFLOPS isn't a lot of GPU power, I think a GTX 970 is more powerful... It's not great, and that's something that the developers can try to optimize with future patches, but at least it's technically projecting a 4k image, even if not internally rendered at that. The HDR isn't even outputting HDR. You'd think that would be a bigger issue. *shrug*

That's basically comparing apples to oranges there..    One being a $60 game the other a $30,000 car, big difference....  am I going to be playing this game everyday for the next 5 to 10 years, like I would be driving a car?  No way.  Believe me, I totally get where you are coming from,  but basically its subjective, I bought the game to be entertained and it is done just that, its entertaining me.    The game not being true HDR or 4k,  doesn't hinder my entertainment of a game, I played Nintendo on a 19" black and white TV for years.. as long as the game plays well and doesn't have game breaking bugs in it, I'm okay with that. 

 I probably shouldn't have commented at all, since i don't have any problems with it. It's just some on here  (not saying you're one) are turning this ant hill into a mountain. It is only a $60 dollar game, that most will play for a few months and then move on to the next big game that comes out.  This just doesn't seem that critical to me.

Been there too,  bought a gamecube back in the day just to play resident evil remake. Another time Spent $120 on a used ps3 from guy on craigslist just to play the "last of us"  got home to find out it didn't even work..  but RDR2 is at least playable, isn't it?.... I'm sure whatever issue is going on Rock* will fix it.

Someone, it might have been this thread or one of the reddit or other forums/article comments that i read bought a 4K HDR TV and the PS4Pro/Red Dead 2 bundle. He wasn’t too happy.

Everyone has to get in touch with rockstar to make something happen, I have done and they got back saying you need to reboot your ps4 pro 😂😂 like that's the problem. They ain't thinking about fixing this anytime soon. Complain everyone.

Who do you think you are talking too at rock*? Do you think you are talking to a developer? You are talking to customer service rep, who is not even in same building. nor probably the same state the game was made. They are not going to know a damn thing other than basic trouble shooting from a script they were handed. The game has been out for less than a week, thing don't magically get fixed with just a few strokes on a keyboard. Good grief, some gamers are the most impatient, entitled crybabies. I have ever come across.

I must wait one day, that I can stream a video of my version of RDR2 on You tube. I have now delete the game and installed a fresh version on my system drive. Before it was on my extended memory drive. 1080p looks like crap on my tv. It looks real blurry and it is not an option to me. I must send a video too. Why is digital foundry talking only from the hdr. Turn of HDR is not fitting the game for me. Game is switching for me from detailed image to a blurry mess every time I move the charakter. This will take a while I think that rockstar find the issue for that.

No I´m not a cry baby. I respect all that hard work of developpers, but this game is unplayable. If you want destroy the lifecycle of your eyes. It is yours. If you are happy with the game in that status, why you are writing messages or posting in this thread? This thread is for all those that have problems with the unacceptable blur. This game is looking better on the standard ps4. Some gamers buy the PS4 pro bundle for that game.

Hab ich gemacht. Aber mittlerweile arrangiere ich damit wie verschwommen das aussieht.. Ich denke nicht dass es allzu bald ein update von R* geben wird. Nicht aus Pessimismus, sondern weil es kein „allzu großes Problem darstellt“.

(PS4 Pro - Samsung KS8000) This is the first time I’ve ever went to a message board for a ps4 game. Can’t even describe the disappointment this game has caused me. I kept hoping it was just the foggy snow landscape that I had to squint through on the first hour or so but this game is so blurry, wtf! Particularly mid to far distance as others have stated. The blurriness does resolve itself if you put it on 1080p but it looks so god damn bad from what I’ve become accustomed to in 4K.

I’ve literally never seen this on another game and I’ve played just about every major AAA game on PS4. I’ve never even thought of going to a gaming message board before but Red Dead was a heavily influential series in my gaming life and I was expecting this game to be AT LEAST on par with other PS4 pro 4K games. I feel your pain 0ldKen.

I sit too far away to get too much worried about the blur, but what stops me playing several times is the 30fps which is bad on all consoles. In an open world where you want to explore its a nightmare to turn around and have everything around you just blur out. I wish they could give us a performance mode instead of 4K. Difference between 1080 and 4K is so hard to see when viewed from a distance. Performance is everything.

Ok, but what is the difference to normal PS4 Players?! They also play on a 1080p tv and it looks awesome, I think the Problem is the upscaling on a 4k TV (checkerboarding with RDR 2)....most players wouldnt see any difference between 4k and 1080p!
