gigemaggs99
I have the War Horse and thoroughbred horses that came with the Deluxe edition. They take up 2 spaces in my stable. This only allows me to have 1 other horse in the stable and one to ride. I found 2 Mustang horses that I really like and eventually I'd like to get the fancy White-maned Arabian. How can I remove the DLC thoroughbred and War horses? The option to sell them is greyed out and I cannot remove them. I'm fine with keeping the War horse but I could stand to remove/sell delete the thoroughbred as I've seen them in the wild. They weren't in my stable spaces until I clicked on "buy horse" and it showed them as free. Once I bought them they take up space but I can't remove/sell or replace them. Thanks for any help. Benjo
I have the same question really. Uninstalling the DLC would be an option but obviously that gets rid of both horses. Looking on other forums no one seems to have an answer to this. Probably something they will fix for us.

Ok, thank you. I wouldn't mind being able to upgrade the stables or buy more spaces or atleast be able to remove one of the 2 DLC horses. Clandestino
I think you could sell any horse in your stable,if its full, and have room for new one

They currently have: DLC War DLC thoroughbred Mustang Wild Bay I picked up a Mustang Grullo Dun and wanted to keep the 4th. I'm normally running around hunting with 2 horses, main and temporary but I can't keep the temp horse or store it in the stable. I recently found the Arabian White, super nice horse, so I sold my Mustang Grullo Dun. I kinda thought the idea was to brake horses or steal them, then keep them for a while so you get better skills with them, then turn them in for more money. It's hard to do that when you don't have the room to work with in your stable. I wish there was an option to take them out and put them back at a later date if I wanted. I found a nice Nokota but don't have the space to work with it. Same went for a nice looking Hungarian Halfbred.

gigemaggs99
I DID IT! So what I did was saddle up the thoroughbred that was free with the DLC. I took him out and found a wild horse, broke that wild horse then switched my saddle to the new horse, this made the DLC thoroughbred my "temporary horse". I then told the DLC thoroughbred to "flee" and I rode off until his icon turned grey. This means he couldn't hear my voice commands or whistle anymore. Then I rode to a stable and sold the newly broken horse. Now the DLC thoroughbred is gone. I did try and shoot him before I did all this, but it won't let you shoot your horse, the icon greys out when you aim at your horse. Hopefully this helps others out. I'm going to keep the WAR Horse that came w/ the DLC. I've seen plenty of thoroughbreds out and about if I want another one.
gigemaggs99
UPDATE, I did not loose him, the DLC thoroughbred is on the sand-bar south of flat-kneck station. I do only have 2 horses in my stables now 🙂

So if you take an extra horse to the camp how do you keep it from not adding it to your stable? I took a 2nd horse/temporary horse to the camp, then when I tried to change out to another horse in the camp/stable menu it removed the temporary horse. If I take these extra horses to camp where do I put them so I can get them later to sell? How many can you do this with?
MaxHardcore
Hitch any horse you no longer want and throw a fire bottle under it. Just keep in mind you will have to retrieve your saddle so do it close to a stable or have another horse with you. I had to kill someone to steal there horse and put my saddle on it.
