Confused- increasing horses maximum stamina

I’m a bit confused someone told me to increase your horses stamina you add better tack someone else told me if you just feed the horse but neither worked. Is it because I need to buy a better horse and different horses have different maximum stamina. I want to increase my horses maximum stamina right now the circle is only half full or a bit over half full thank you

Bonding with your horse brings up its stamina meter which are the bars around the circle which represents its core stamina. To increase the core stamina you need to buy and equip better tack like stirrups. You’ll see greyed out bars that signify the potential a horse can be improved by gear but they can all only go so far. Different breeds will have better or worse stats.

If your horse is hungry and you don’t keep it clean it’s going to get tired faster. There are also tonics you can make or buy for a temporary boost or just a refil in stamina. I think you can also pay for some special grooming that gives a temp yellow full bar to stats.

For high stamina combined with speed you could look towards getting an Arabian, Missouri Fox Trotter or Turkoman. By studying horses you can see what their potential stats are.

The services you buy at the stable give you a yellow core so it won't drain for a full day.  I do that and then use the stimulants to give you the yellow ring doing the time challenges.

As others have said. Buying better stirrups and saddle will slow the rate at which your horses cores drain but the only way to increase stamina is to ride your horse. 

Bond to level 4, keep brushing, patting, feeding and calming your horse and the stamina bar will grow over time. 

You can also increase the speed bar in this way as well plus if you win the random races that people challenge you to the. You get additional bonuses.

Just treat your horse like you would your irl dog. Make sure to keep it well fed, clean, and give it attention and bond with it. I know it seems silly but it will increase all the stats and the more you do it, the faster they go up.
