Jamesie
Howdy partners! Simple forum game idea here that I thought I'd give a bash. The idea is to take what you know from the original Red Dead Redemption and to expand on it to make a sequel ala Red Dead Redemption 2. The rules: - Only one suggestion with your reply and only one reply until someone else has replied. - Keep it fairly short and to the point that doesn't leave too much open for interpretation (i.e. not "add in pony with customizable hydraulics, laser eyes and a V6 engine with custom int...."). Don't be shy to expand on your idea a little but also try not to go overboard. - Feel free to reference a mechanic or idea from another game possibly even with a youtube clip - Have fun coming up with ideas, I think it's what makes the wait exciting especially since we know so little about it at this point! Some examples: - Add horse racing - Allow players to steal and drive trains - Let players not die when entering the water (allow them to swim)
Jamesie
I'll also kick things off since my examples were "stolen" from previous posts (and I'm tempted by the prostitutes one but I figured I'd have to rather come up with something original). - Include a dead-eye like mechanic that uses a watch: this watch allows you to undo the last few seconds of your game-play (once filled) in the same way that they dead-eye meter allowed you to slow down aiming. Upgraded watch means longer time you can "undo". Limited to one user per in-game day.
elmZ
Limited Swimming Say you are out in the water and have to retrieve something. I know a lot of people back then didn't know how to swim and those who did would become quickly exhausted. Instead of drowning out right, allow a period of time to be in deep water. You can allow this to be based on endurance as well. Say you mainly travel by horse, your time spent in deep water would be a lot less than someone who spent more time on foot. VampireKrush
Better fighting mechanics in general. I know this was a common complain considering for a Western game, it should have some decent fight movements. Like to me, that should be a base for every character. Like say you walk into the bar as Marston and punch someone, then the fist combat should be similar to a real bar fight.

One of my very few complaints was the fighting style when you didn't have a gun equipped.
Jamesie
A big ask but something that I would appreciate: "Offline-like" multi-player (even if just limited to co-op with no more than 2 players). Yes, we all have internet but I'd just like to have an option that isn't affected by my internet connection where I can screw around on a LAN-like connection (even if it's with a friend/family member a few hundred km's away) that won't require a connection to an official server and constantly kick me out from a session when it decides to (think what GTA IV allowed but that GTA V doesn't allow).
