Issue with Studying animals :O

HI!  I need help i suppose. I have been able to study animals with the binoculars BUT i cant study them while aiming  😮

I get the little the R1 Prompt to study them but it never works. I have to try and switch to my Binoculars real quick which usually  does not work too well

I know i am missing something here. Basically i cannot study animals while aiming even though it says i can

You can study with a scoped rifle - not ordinary weapons.  Equip a scope - down on D pad - study.  Normal aim with a scoped rifle is returned to by down on D pad again.

Likely you are too far away, try zooming in if you haven't and if that fails get closer. Some Bird species do fly away when viewed through the binoculars though.

You don't need a weapon equipped to study.  Target it and be close enough.

I always used a scope. lol I will have to do it like you suggest and see if it works. I guess it makes sense to use a scope if you are looking at birds from a distance or dangerous animals that would otherwise attack you but everything else can be done without.

You do need a scope unless you are almost on top of the study object.

not true, open sites on the rifle work also.
