WHY do the White quests keep dissappearing?

I constantly ride across the map to a waypoint I set on a white quest only to get there and its either gone or locked... WHY is this happening?

@Sportty a lot of those stranger missions are only available at certainly times of day. When that happens, just camp out for a bit and check again.

Yup, it's rarely explained but alot of sidequests are time sensitive. 

You either have to do them between 6 and 6 at night or day.

Take notes. It will help. When this was happening to me, I would note the time it disappeared and the time it appeared. So if I was doing something else and I didn't have time to get to it, I would know what time of day or night to be ready for it.
