Daily challenge with a train

Today's challenge - to ride some miles on a train. But I can't see trains. In Sen-deni or near Valentine.

usually when this challenge is up, people chasing and driving the trains cause they do not like to waste time with npc's driving from station to station. when they are done with the challenge they leave the train and thats why you don't see it.

When I can’t find the train in free roam. I do the story mission: Kerosene tar & greed. Once the mission starts don’t follow Samson, go East and find the train tracks & hop on the train.

Right up there with the people that jump on the train when they can see you’re riding it shooting animals, drive 50 yards then jump off again and ride off. Scum. Sub-human scum. /Alan Partridge

Never had that happen to me. I have had to fight for my right to ride a train after getting picked off while riding atop one of the cars and having to catch up and jump on-board. I've since learned to ride on the inside of one of the cars.
