Are tablet readers really that common?

Had a random thought. Books still sell and I tend to see people reading books than reading on tablets (and kindles/ipads).

Are tablet readers really all that common? Like I get the appeal for news, blogs, and so on but books... Like reading full blown books on these devices, it doesn't seem that popular to me.

I really never gave this any thought but I think you are right. I see more people reading on laptops and smartphones than actual tablet readers. It may depend on what area you live in though. A lot of times when I go out, I still see people with actual books. I think it is better to read on paper for the eyes anyways.

I see the same thing, mostly smartphones tho. I don't see people walking around with kindles. I guess they are great for public transportation like planes and what not but that is about it.

I see a lot of people using them around here, tablets at least not so much kindles. It is easier to use a tablet on the go than to take a book. Much more compact and multi-functional.
