I saw that quite a few YouTubers were taking part in this as well as people like Elon Musk. 

What are your thoughts on this? Like to me, it is great for what it is but I don't think it will solve anything that people are truly upset about.

I think it is great! I mean I am not really a Mr. Beast fan but I am all for people donating to a good cause. Like you said, it might not fix a lot of problems but it is still good to do for the environment.

I always get the feeling that stuff like this gets easily manipulated and people get ripped off. This is no offence to the people who are participating in it but I have seen several charity campaigns and donation runs that end up pocketing a big portion of the money and using it for god only knows what.

Maybe it is just me but I feel as if a lot of this was just internet hype. I am glad people want to make a difference in the world but so much of what we see happening online vs reality.. Well, there is a huge gap there. People can say they mean well and even "show" they do without doing much at all. Not a Mr. Beast fan either myself but this is besides the point.
