On my first play through I rushed through the story and didn’t notice the intricacy and thought put into every small detail. Seeing his sketch of a newly discovered animal or reading his description of a stranger adds so much depth to him and really gets you attached the character. In my opinion, Arthur is one of the greatest characters ever created and the journal helps prove that Edited May 14, 2020 by Kean_1 Removed spam links later edited in by OP (banned) 1
Foxtrot
It's only on your third play through that you get real detail in the journal because by that time, you really get how to pace the games open world activities against the story missions. It really is a great read, and even after so much time playing the game, there's probably hundreds of sketches and anecdotes I've not managed to include in the journal.
