Rockstar's first game?

Does anyone know/remember what their actual first release was? The earliest I can remember seeing them is Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. I think they also did Conker's Bad Fur Day, but I may be wrong on that. I would have to grab my N64 games to be sure about that. Aside from a handful of games (obviously RDR2) I'm a classic gamer and don't play much past the N64 era.

But to get back to topic, is DKC their first game? Considering the graphics and the era, they're pretty advanced in their animation. But if someone can help me out I would appreciate it. I don't want to google it, because I'm also hoping to get some opinions here as well.

Donkey Kong is Rare as is Conker's. I think you might be confusing the two?

The first one released by Rockstar was the original GTA but it was under DMA Design which was their name prior to becoming Rockstar.

I never heard of Rockstar owning Rare games so this is a first lol

I didn't think GTA was their first game though. I could have sworn it was something else. Maybe something that was never published? I might be thinking of a completely different studio though.

Yeah me too for some reason. Maybe they did like you said and it just didn't get finalized, idk. I could have sworn they worked on a different title though. Like I remember watching a video on the history of the company.

I’m an idiot. I did get them mixed up. Not quite sure how, but if you hadn't said anything I never would have caught it.
