Is it worth playing through now again or should I wait?

Been getting the itch to play the story again but when I heard that they are likely going to release an updated version for the Series S/X and PS5, I feel like maybe I should just wait? Cause like I will probably buy the new version anyways and instead of only just playing online I can relive the story again with updates added to it. 

I played through it 3 times. I played it through the year it came out and then a few more times the following year (2019 I think) so it has been a while since I played it.

I think if you plan on getting the new version (assuming we are getting one which seems likely) then I would just wait. You will probably end up playing through it a few times. Like I planned on playing GTA 6 this fall but that got delayed. I got back into RDR2 last year and been playing on and off since. I will be buying the new version and just enjoying the game again.

I'd wait personally. Like I plan on playing it again myself but when I caught wind about a new version coming out for newer consoles, I just decided to put it on the back burner. I want to play on PS5. I am still playing RDR2 online on my PS4 and it is the only reason I even still have the console out lol

I mean we don't know if this port is actually going to happen for Xbox or PS yet. Like for the newest consoles. I can see it happening for Switch but idk about Series X/S or PS5. I guess wait another month and if no news drops just play the game.
