  1. Ok, so I wanted to get a discussion on some of the best Western films of all time, and possibly suggestions of ones I have not yet considered. I'm on a marathon of Western films that should last through October in order to pump me up for RDR2. Before the marathon, Tombstone was my favorite, but ever since I watched Once Upon a Time in the West, that is now my favorite. Also, of all the movies, No Country for Old Men is my favorite movie, but I wonder if people consider this a real Western? I think it has all the right elements of a Western, as well as There Will Be Blood. Prior to the marathon, I had already seen: Tombstone The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Dances With Wolves True Grit (2010) Unforgiven The Magnificent Seven (1960) 3:10 to Yuma (2007) And some arguable neo-Westerns such as: No Country for Old Men The Revenant There Will Be Blood My current marathon has consisted of: Fistful of Dollars A Few More Dollars Stagecoach The Outlaw Josey Wales Once Upon a Time in the West True Grit (1969) The Hateful Eight To be watched: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid High Noon Rio Bravo The Man Who Shot Liberty Vance The Assassination of Jesse James Pale Rider High Plains Drifter Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddd some music!

  2. YOUTUBE CHANNEL Was looking through some old west videos and scenes in preparation for red dead 2 and noticed the train scene in The Assassination of Jesse James is almost identical to the train scene in the trailer. Here’s a side by side comparison. Enjoy guys! A lot more interesting videos like this on my channel have a look ????????

  3. Red Dead Redemption II is the cover story in Spanish gaming magazine, Hobby Consolas this month. Someone on reddit posted some translated factoids for us from the article, written by press that attended a preview. Most of which we have already learned but there's one or two surprises on there. Check it out! https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/93qvrw/hobbyconsolas_preview_translation/#ampf=undefined

  4. I mean if this ends up being the case, I wouldn't be mad. I would have a lot of fun with this although, it would get tiresome fast and people would likely end up pissing each other off. As long as I have the biggest spider, I am fine with it. Also, based on your list there, you will enjoy The Man Who Shot Liberty Vance. One of the better classics imo.

  5. I will definitely add those, especially Silverado and the Propostition, but I've never heard of Bone Tomahawk. Also, considering it has Kurt Russell, I'm definitely down to watch. Don't even get me started, because I imagine that this movie is what RDR2 Online will look like in about 6 months. Steampunk giant spiders roaming the desert griefing other players. ???? I think what's awesome about this film is not just how good it is, but also how it spiritually represents Clint Eastwood's swan song and departure from Westerns, almost as if William Munny is the sum of all the characters he played in previous roles, but now old, retired, and just as mean. I literally just finished Assassination of Jesse James. That was terribly emotional conflicting. On one hand, Jesse James was a criminal and not the myth he was often portrayed as, and on the other, Robert Ford was just a sad story in and of itself. Great movie, though.

  7. Or maybe in Dutch's gang that is a symbol for a position of power, right hand man type thing. You know only the most masculine males in the group gets to wear a purse the whole game.

  8. Something like this may become more of an annoyance over time. Like at first, it would be something new and cool but after a while, it just becomes a tedious task you are forced to sit through like skinning animals in RDR.
