If GTAO is any indicator then, no I don't think there's a chance it is going to get better.
RDRO is going to be a microtransaction-based game. Not just cosmetic items, you will be able to purchase advantages (like shotguns) . It's where GTAO is now and the direction it moved from launch.
I also think the poor state of the beta speaks volumes about R*'s concerns for players who do not intend to keep paying to play.
Why else would you even put this economy in a beta?
Why would you set missions to only pay out once?
Why would you even include gold bars?
Personally, I'd rather every player paid $150 for the game and do away with the ability to purchase advantages.
I loved RDR1 and looked forward to RDRO launching, I should have known better based on what R* did with GTAO..
