How do you play the story missions? I play alone but am open to posses and matchmaking for missions. I have a friend that plays a bit and we'll posse up but last night he kept shooting people including a player who'd done nothing to us. I don't play like that and I told him that. Tonight he stuck to Battlefield 4.

I was desperate for something I could play alone and out came the Atari 2600. Man did I play the heck out of it with those blocky graphics but great games. First PC was a IBM Aptiva in '97 with a gigantic 500MB HD. Games like Madden were all DOS back then if I remember right. Been buying Xbox since they came out, now have a Xbox1X.

Well I made 21 last night and now all my money is almost gone. Not sure where I spent it or what on - and I don't drink! LOL I know I got a horse but can't remember what else. Better go see....:) Oh I bought a Schofield too. I remember that.

I think you set what's in your holsters at the gunsmith - I just put my sawed off in my offhand and the Schofield in the main holster and they stay.

Why be ashamed? Just because some internet "experts" say not too? F them, it's my money and if I want to but gold I'll buy it. I don't have much use for it yet but you never know.

I have not done any series matches, races. etc. I am old and slow but I need XP - should I try it?

I've had that happen twice, but I've never got a treasure map either from any hideout. Just XP. Doing them with a bow would be neat!

I just got to lvl 20 and am going to upgrade my horse at 21, so saving for that. I just got a second holster and sawed-off to go in it, but other than that I get upgrades to weapons and that's about it. I have Lancaster, pump, bolt action, bow, fishing rod and lures including the 3 gold special spinner. That thing is a fish vacuum!

I am a single-player non PvP kind of guy but I LIKE online. I've been griefed hard 3 times but I've played a lot and I find it addicting. Give it a try. In an hour you can't really get the feel for it.

I never heard of that, doesn't sound right to me. I've been killed many times and never lost money that I know of.

I know I named my character "Plumpkin" to please the 7 yr old grand daughter and no one sees it. In story mode every horse was Plumpkin 1 or 2 or 3...etc. Plumpkin is a Annoying Orange reference, it's on YouTube.

Could I have the old horse? I can't even get that yet! LOL

I am the same way Kean, I rarely shoot first and I die because of it but usually it's no big deal. I've had players come up when I was killing pigs in Valentine and we shared! It does happen. When I see a town with a bunch of dots in it I steer clear and the same for my travelling - I try to avoid them.

Howdy Pard! I am 63 yrs old and can relate - I have my Xbox on a 75" 4k Sharp TV and it's wonderful. I do play online but try to avoid PvP but it's difficult sometimes. Just let me fish! LOL I'll have to check out that Silent Hunter game - love those simulators! I played RDR2 twice through and it is awesome. Some things I'd change but overall a great game. Online needs work but a lot of changes are coming I think.

Get the "Special Spinner" from the swamp vendor. 3 gold but you won't lose it and it catches everything in the water.

Ehhh, not so much. I was just fishing and a guy rides up lasso out so I hit him with the pump. Again he runs up and I kill him. Once more he tries it and I kill him. Then he picks me off twice with the rolling block rifle then rushes me again and I kill him. He parleys, then rushes me at the butcher and keeps lassoing me. Blocked and reported. Can't fish in peace - but that is the first time someone ganked me that bad while fishing.

I was just at the butcher in Strawberry unloading my latest load of fish when it said I had been marked for assassination by so and so. I opened the map and there were 4 players, none close, that now had red skulls as their icon. I was about to quit anyway so I just got out and came here to ask about it. I've never heard of this, have you??

I just used the Special Spinner at my favorite spot and caught over 20 fish easy in 15 minutes. At 30 min I had 36 fish - it slows down because you keep catching fish you already have 10 of. 2 more minutes and I got the 2 salmon I needed and off to the butcher. Not bad for 1/2 hour of "work". I didn't even get a muskie and I made $50.

Steelhead trout should be the same as salmon, $2.50 each limit 10 at a time. Not sure about the best spot - that's where I use YouTube and find out but someone here should know too. I fish for salmon up out of Strawberry.
